no its not about the quality, its about the fact that there are 45 different people trying to undersell each other, when the stuff u could be making is really worth alot more than u charge, and who really wants to make a hat and get paid less than minimum wage for it. but its what u have to do now.

it is my understanding that nothing is official yet; tim and zach still have to talk it over to make sure there is not breach of contract and that the company is legit.

actually hats cost less than that to make, i didnt want to give it away, but the style i makes hats .... they are alot thicker than most... which would mean i use more yarn that most.... which would mean mine would cost more than most, and unless it was wool, chenelle or homespun, it doesnt cost anymroe than 3-5 dollars for me to make a hat shipping included. so unless u use like 3 scanes of yarn to make a hat then u are lying. and having a website is like 25 dollars a year.

smuggs, where are you from? Vermont? exactly, prices vary from place to place so unless you buy all of your yarn from syracuse new york, you can not say how much I pay for yarn. For me, a skein of yarn costs me 3 dollers. say the customer wants a multi colored hat and I have none of the colors, a three color hat would cost nine dollars to make. now include the $2.50 to ship and we are in a range from $5.50-$11.50. Now include the $96.00 a year website from www.ipower.com, that means that i make hardly any money to even a loss of profit.

yea a scane could cost 3 dollars..... then again it takes about 1/3 of a scane to make a hat, that means that u have 2/3s left and well guess what u can do with that left over yarn..... u CAN MAKE MORE HATS YAY!

and it would take up a third of a 9 oz the scane if u do it how i do. to make an ENTIRE hat, and if u had 3 colors u would have alot more yarn left over. and of course i could get technical with u to make it look like i lose money. say i made a hat that took 34 colors, and i only had 2 of them. so that would mean i would have to buy 32 scanes of yarn. bummmer

$96 a year to host a basic website? Shit, pay $20 a year for a domain and you can get hosting for $15/year. I ran my website with 1000 hits per day, an active forum and hundreds of photos for $5/month and I'm only using 1/3 of what I get.

smuggs, who would want a 34 color hat? thats a rediculous argument. at least my points were valid and relative. and why do i have to make hats exactly like yours? what makes them the best hat a person could make? besides, when did i say that Logic made absolutly no profit? I said we are not in it for the money, implying that our philosophy lies elseswhere. Sure i make money but I also provide quality gear for cheap. Companys need money to survive. No matter what they do, they need money. non-profit organizations get government funding(money).

Hey this may be off topic, but i know that there is already a clothing company called exodus that is snowboarding, skateboarding based that is from southern california. Unless you guys are the same thing I would look into the whole trademark and copywrite thing with this other somewhat established company before you drop some real money into it. Just thought i would throw in some info for you.

as far as i know, Exodus Clothes has copyrighted their name under Exodus Clothes but I e-mailed them about it and hopefully they'll allow me to continue with my company and copyright the name as Exodus Headwear.. otherwise that would blow ass considering the hundreds of dollars i've already put into printing our t-shirts and buying web design tools, etc.
