Hahaha, sorry about that... But seriously, when I was in Sydney, there were SO many gay guys there. You know how hard of a time I had trying to find a FEMALE thong instead of a male one? Geez, it was insane. And I'm not talking flip flops, here.

I'm going to Costa Rica over Christmas Break... Should be good times.

Um yeah only thing is if you come here during January you miss the best bit your northern hemisphere winter. I love living in Australia except for the snow situation (short and unreliable season compared to Nth America anyway). It's not as dangerous as they say.

Skier chick if you're going to transfer to Brisbane (UQld or whatever) then do it in first semester not second. That way you can come out for the summer beforehand. Winter up there is boring (I'm in Sydney, south of Bris). It's cool but never snows, not really beach weather either. If you head north into the tropics then it's still like 32C and sunny everyday so that's alright. But winter in Australia sucks in general, it gets annoyingly wet and cold but never snows (unless you're at the resorts or it's REALLY cold in which case it snows up the central tablelands).

 
Hey Elasmo you weren't in Sydney during the gay and lesbian mardi gras by any chance??? That would explain the whole gay tihng at least. I'm thinking of going to Costa Rica for a few weeks as well. Got my Canada working holdiay planned for this Christmas (our summer Uni holidays) then thinking about spending our winter break in somewhere like Costa Rica on one of the STA Travel volunteer thingys...

 
Hopefully Whistler BC. Me and my mate have a couple of weeks of accom. booked there already and have signed up with CBI Recruit to try and find a job before we get over there. If can't get anything there than will just look somewhere else.

thanks for all the comments guys (and girls) the input acctually helped- I put in an application for placement in b.c. and in australia- i don't know where they are going to place me yet but i'll let everyone know as soon as i do.
