Excessive boot wear?

Whats up guys, I got these boots at the beginning of this season and have roughly 15 days on them and have noticed the heel piece has a rather large amount of wear for how short they have been ridden. I also switched to pivots at this time and am not sure if these have caused the wear and it is normal for them? I would imagine it shouldn't. The boots are Lange xt110's.

The Lange tour series boots seem to be plagued by heel durability issues when used with traditional style heel pieces. A similar issue was mentioned by Paul Forward in his Blister review of the xt 130 Freetour.

Got it, just read a bit about it. Still feel like this is an absurdly large amount of wear for around 15 days maybe 20 max. Feel like they might not even last a season at this rate. Thinking about going back to where I got them and bringing it up as a concern? Read about a guy on TGR that got his replaced by Lange...but that seems to just be postponing the problem more.

I agree. That wear does seem excessive. This seems like warranty material to me.

I'm sure Lange is aware of this issue. Given that they marketed this as a true one-boot-quiver clicking into an alpine style heel piece should not be out of the realm of the products usability.

If they could make this boot more durable and walk a little better I'd still own a pair. It's genuinely the best skiing tech-insert boot I've ever been in. And I've been in a lot of them.

Could also be the binding if the forward pressure is not right, digging into the back of your boots. That's pretty nasty for 15 days.

No idea on how much forward pressure could do this but anyone have any input...? I know its off but is it too little forward pressure or too much?

In general on the fks the white bar should be equal or just past the two dashes....but this also isn't 100%.....you could go get them tested if you want to be positive

WAY too much forward pressure....the two screws on the end of the arms are what adjust that....you want that little white tab to be even with those notches.
