Evolution of Skiing

I am doing a speech on the evolution of skiing, but I'm having a hard time finding any sources. So if anyone knows any good websites that are qoutable for information like stats on how skiers are going bigger and faster since the invention of shaped skis or how exactly the shape of skis themselves have changed. Really just about anything that has a global perspective on how the sport is changing. I would really appreciate it.

 
This is my theory...

In the future the skis are going to get so good that it won't take any skill (or strength) to ski. So then it will be all about re-gression.

^^ people say that about skiing now, cuza the sidecut and such. the used to just be frikkin straight. there will always be progression, we jus gotta flow with it.
