i was thinking about skiing as a whole during school and i realized, u know we are the pioneers of freestyle skiing, were the kind of people that kids 20 years from now are gonna go, 'yea my old man told me he saw the first 1080 ever thrown' and shit like that, it makes me feel good that we as skiers pioneer the sport and revoltionize it. i guarentee by the 2014 olympics there will be skier halfpipe. and then we can look back at our kids/friends and say we did that, because of our letters and sites we made this happen. we should all be proud of what we have done, even if it is just talking online about skiing, we are making a name for ourself. i mean in the last two years we have been on nationally televised programming where 3 or 4 years ago, 1 out of 2000 people would have known that freestyle skiing existed. share your thoughts. speaking of the actual skis look at pollard and the skis he's makin fucking huge, its all changin for the better, share ur thoughts

if u asked what freestyle was like 10 years ago they would have said that it was the balernia crap where u liek dance on ur skis but well said on the whole thing

what you gonna do when shit hits the fan, are you gonna stand and fight like a man, will you be as hard as you say you are, are you gonna run and go get your bodygaurd
 
how do you know that our kids will be doing corks, d-spins, rodeos and that kind of stuff? how do you know that monoskiing wont become the next big thing? im serious, think about it: what if skiing and snowboarding just kinda died down because of some other type of sport

^ agree with that, how do you know that when you tell your kid you saw the first 1080 it wont be the same as when your dad tells you now that he saw the first daffy while waxing his 220cm skis in his lycra ski pants. Face it stuff we do now just aint gonna be cool enough in 15 years.

 
It started before the 1080s too, I remember seeing kids doing 360 grabs in 'snowboard' parks a few years before the 1080s came out. The new school thing originally got going in the mid-90s...took a few more years to progress to twins and fakie landings and take offs though.
