Evolution - How could you not believe this.

ringing out a towel like a boss. I should invest in them and start to sell them to pools as towel boys (orangoutangs?)

i was waiting for the big guys to push the little one into the water, that'd be some really human-like behaviour !

but the other one shows that they are still oragatangs because he dipped his junk in the drinking water they drank at the end on the little wall...

I am an atheist but this video doesn't prove anything about evolution. This could easily be a something he saw and decided to copy.

Looking at the body structure, especially the hands when he rings out the towel, that's better proof of evolution.

Also, I always enjoy seeing those memes.

he goes that with more grace than me. i just take a bundles up towel and bury my face in it. he had it all unfolded n shit..

ya'll need to get educated, we didnt evolve from monkeys. That would be retarded. go to school before you try to tell people things that you dont understand. damn stupid kids *grumble* *grumble* *grumble*

its so obvious that evolution (or a related subtheory) is correct, its not even funny to "discuss" this.

and i always thought that orang utans in zoos look so much like humans. even more than gorillas and chimpanzees. less from a physiology-standpoint but more the look/feel of their faces and actions.

I want to believe, but where is the missing link? that monkey certainly acts like a human

Look into Bonobos. They are one of the least known apes, but their physiology in comparison to humans is crazy. They are a lot skinnier/lankier than chimps and have a more similar skull shape to humans. They also have sex in the missionary position. Crazy stuff.

it's people like you who fuel the "discussion" with statements like that. until you can prove 100% that God doesn't exist, its not "so obvious that evolution is correct"

God exists cause people wrote the bible. People who wrote the bible/ partook in the stories were pretty much always high on ergot (look it up - its a lot like LSD). Lots of stuff in the bible is accepted as false (like the age of the earth).
Evolution exists because people did a bunch of scientific things and wrote about it. They weren't high. There is a fossil record. Not much has been proven false except things like Bonobos are closer to us than Chimps... But that isn't really being proven false, it's getting closer to the truth.

I'm not going to argue about it, Im just saying, it makes sense for people to not believe in god/a god. Watching stuff like this confirms that mindset even more. Miracles can be called coincidences. It's hard to call thousands of fossils a coincidence.

TIll anything is 100% confirmed, I'm sticking with the Mayans. The Popul Vu is way more entertaining than the Bible. Leopards, houses of knives, playing ball with skulls... Shit is pretty awesome.

And everyone has their views and beliefs so i respect them. I was only pointing out how narrow-minded it is to say that evolution is the only possible way. The way you look at it is way more agreeable than that other post. Evolution can never be proved right and God can never be proved right either so it all comes down to what people have faith in.

no where in the bible does it say how old the earth is. The bible predicted both temples to be destroyed which they were, you cannot prove they were high on stuff like "lsd" when they wrote it, thats simply a 'hater' theory... How did fossils get on the top of a mountain if there was no flood?

I'm not pro bible i'm just saying its not all a fairy tale. Evolution does seem like a valid theory but I have trouble accepting it because I don't see monkey people? Wheres the missing links?

The exact location and construction sequence of Jerusalem's nine suburbs was predicted by Jeremiah about 2600 years ago. He referred to the time of this building project as "the last days," that is, the time period of Israel's second rebirth as a nation in the land of Palestine (Jeremiah 31:38-40). This rebirth became history in 1948, and the construction of the nine suburbs has gone forward precisely in the locations and in the sequence predicted.

It's just hard to discount the jewish faith when they have been around for such a long time. I'm not disagreeing with evolution but instead i'm incorporating it with the idea of a God

let me repeat :ya'll need to get educated, we didnt evolve from monkeys. That would be

retarded. go to school before you try to tell people things that you

dont understand. damn stupid kids *grumble* *grumble* *grumble*

as stated in my last post as i restated ^

the only people who think we evolved from monkeys are uneducated people. I am not trying to insult anyone who happens to think that, not everyone is in a situation that is conducive to education.

one last time for anyone who missed it,

NOBODY evolved from a monkey.

You're totally right, we evolved from apes. But before that, we totally evolved from single celled organisms.

were not evolved monkeys, its that humans and monkeys have a similar ancestor, that perhaps life has stemed from one singal source. Theres so much proof to back evolution its rediculous, but religion can blind some from undeniable proof, religon=cult, its just a nicer way

i believe i read that bonobos, dolphins (not totally sure on that one), and humans are the only 3 animals that engage in sex for recreational purposes. pretty interesting i think.

I really can't rap my head around the idea of why people don't think evolution is real. The idea of Evolution by natural selection is nothing bit common sense.

hahahaha

that video was amazing..especially the wringing it out part, I usually just smash a wet towel across my face...well done mr. orangutan

no we fucking didnt you uneducated turd. someone already pointed out what i was getting at, we cant have evolved from something that still exists today, that would not be evolution, there is a possibility of a common ancestor but we cant have evolved from something that exists. before people pretend or actually think they have an opinion on evolution they first must know what evolution is.

Actually that's not true. There's a reason we have different colors of people and geographically different sized people. It's unlikely but not impossible.

Let's say a group of primates existed on the southern portion of Africa. From there another group split off and eventually migrated North into another climate with more protein available and faster evolution potential. Over a LONG period of time they can become quite different. It is actually known that there have been two types of homo genus. The Neanderthals went extinct probably due to competition from more modern ish humans and climate change. So as you can see two really similar types of beings were around at one time due to separated evolution.

The hardest part about hypothesizing with evolution is the vast amount of time needed to be contextualized. It's almost impossible for anyone to grasp the effects of a period of such a large amount of time. For we are only granted 100 years if we are lucky. In that short period of time we have no way of judging what evolve takes place over thousands of years (still nothing in the span of time). I think more people need to be humbled by this fact, especially those that believe in religion in an orthodox way. To me simply discounting the magnificent power of natural forces as a large creation seems a bit arrogant and proclaiming to know the divine truth of it all is even more so.
