Ok I am not sure if I am just pissed off today or tired or what but come on....

Why does everyone have to ask the opinions of everyone between skis, about skis or which one is better! I can see asking who has them and maybe how they think about them but to ask which one is better, or to look for everyones approval on the gear you want is just stupid! I don't care how good you are the gear only is 5% of what makes a great skier! Just cause you dress like tanner, buy his ski's, and act like him, doesn't mean you can ski like him! Be original.... Learn your own style, mix and match! Hell buy Elans rock them in a few comps or in the pipe/park and then you are being real!

The best thing I can say is if you want to know how ski's are demo them. Go out on the same day and try both skies you are interested in, on the same runs, then you will know whats best for your style and how you ride. Just because I can rock PE's doen't mean you can, you might hate them.

Case in point 1080, I hate them, I tested them and they suck, which surprised me cause I use to compete on some of the older ones! But hey that is just my opinion.

I just wish you would stop trying to buy what is the coolest thing today, buy what you like, what works for you and your own talents wil make you the star you want to be!

but what if you can't demo skis? i know it's not he easiest thing to find twin tips to demo.

I started a thread before when i was trying to decide between mavs and mick nicks. I demoed both of those and couldn't see a huge difference between them. So i went here and asked people what they thought. It really helped me make a decision, some of those comments were very helpfull, but others were just useless. Someone said i should get the skiis that look the best. But who cares about how the skiis look. Its how they perform and how YOU perform on them. Anyway, sorry for typing so much, i just agree with fakie. Peace.

 
demoing isn't always an option. Not too many places let you rent or demo twins. and there are hardly any demo days round here. Ahhhh, trying to hold back assholeness..... Just can't, and who the fuck cares if someone asks what other people think. Just because your parents do everything for you doesn't mean that other people are solely supported by others.

By asking other people on the forum you can get a decent idea of what you want to buy/demo, or at least narrow it down. This is one of the biggest reasons for NS.com, so people can get a better idea how to do a misty, what camp is better suited for a particular individual, how certain skis perform, etc, etc, etc. Maybe saying 'ski x is better than ski b' isnt always subjective but otherwise a lot of people have helped me make a few important decisions.

phrosty is right, i havent been to a ton of mountains that let you demo twins, but yeah that is totally true about how each ski is unique to the person

I live in fucking WI where there are no demos. It's is a great idea to get opinions from other people THAT HAVE TRIED them, because they're real people that aren't sponsored and have to say that the skis rock. Just ignore all the people that say the skis 'suck balls' (physical impossibility), and take the real opinions that people have, so you can buy the right ski.

REMEMBER: It's 10% equipment, and 90% rider.
 
Dude, people want suggestions and feedback, that's why they are here.

When it comes to gear there are alot of idiotic responses given which we can live without.

'This ski is gay, that ski is cool' is pointless, but many people give helpful feedback

I can't really demo much where I live, so I do value someone else's opinion. There is only so much that can be given. It is all about ur own opinion. Ur style, and the way u ride.

I dont think thats true... i bet its less then 5% skis but i still dont agrea with what you are thinking... most people ask what skis are better and mean that what one last longer, lighter and over all a funner ski to ride. its not like there saying if i get the mother ship will i learn switch rodeo 1080s or would it be easyer to land on scratches...
