The movie you shot is still in NTSC which is like 25mb/s or something. You need to compres it to divx or whatever.

As far as freeware goes you can use VirtualDubMod but I would recommend getting some more professional software (sony vegas, adobe premiere, ...)

Dude, you need Sorenson Squeeze. You can compress video for web really nicely.
