Every Skier Skateboards during off season?

Skated two days ago at big sky. I mostly longboard but do skate mellow vert and if I try hard enough can manage a nose slide on a ledge. Can't fuckin olie I end up almost kick flipping instead.
 
Skateboarding is fucking lame. All these kids trying to be Nidro Houston and shit. It's just like all the noob kook kids trying to be Sean White on snowboards.

I scooter and rollerblade though
 
Yeah I'm trying to pick it up. It's a hard sport to get into, but it passes the time.

But 90% of my offseason time is spent tramping, using my summer setup, or downhill biking
 
There were two kids at the park I usually skate with ripsticks. One kid tried to drop in. Didn't end well.

I've been skateboarding for longer than I've been skiing park or known about ns. So it's the other way around for me.
 
recently been getting into skating. i mostly just cruise around and pop frontside 180's. im not good but its a lot of fun especially when you have friends pushing you to progress kinda like skiing

Snowboarding is kind of like skateboarding. If skateboarding consisted of strapping two skateboards to your feet, it would be like skiing.

The exact reason we've always rollerbladed, and not skateboarded. But to each their own.
 
used to rollerblade, want to get back into this summer. got a skateboard for cruising around on aswell but dryslope and indoor skiing all year is my methadone between the real mountain skiing crack fix

What are you talking about? scootering and rollerblading are gay af. Not only do they look bad they are not nearly as hard as skating. and what about all the kids wanting to be twall... You'll get that shit in every sport.
 
I dont see why people are having such a fuck that, fuck you attitude about skating. Honestly other than getting kicked out of spots its much more "free ride" applicable and do as you please than skiing. Not nearly as many fuck boys judging others like most of what ive seen in skiing. Dont get me wrong though ive skated most my life then took up skiing, skiing is way more fun, but if you can shred a skate and ski more power to you since its a different feeling completely.

Really? People throw double flips on both at my local skatepark. Half the kids on skateboards spend the day in the way doing piss poor attempts at kickflips. Skating is so fucking played it's not even funny. The best thing that ever happened to inline was it getting dropped by X and going back underground. The people who blade are the good kids who want to blade. The people that skate are the bitch as noobs who want people to think they're cool.

Luckily scootering never got that mainstream so it never really lost that core vibe. Sure there are some kids that have them just for going around their driveway and shit but for the most part everyone on a scooter at the skateparks is fucking killing it.

I think that's why there's so much hate. People like you sit in the corner trying to learn how to ollie, while me and my friends are flowing the whole park boosting HUGE out of the bowl.

Check out my edits man on here man. I have at least 5 inline and 2 or 3 scooter edits in my video section. We go hard. Sorry that makes you jealous.

I don't know where the fuck you live, but in Ottawa all the scooters are snakes. They never try shit, and they just get in the way all the time. But if they are fine there, i respect that. Just not at all like that here unfortunately.

I can do a whole lot more than do a kick flip bud, I hope you also realize that if skatingn wasn't around there would most likely be no terrain parks at ski hills. I am not watching your gay inline edits because that would be a waste of my time. Vert is probably 10X harder on a skateboard. So you can have fun "boosting huge" with your friends. You scootering and inling makes me laugh actually.

skating is what started the whole freestyle scene. It started off as transportation system for surfers then the guys who really liked skating built skateparks and vert ramps and etc. Snowboarders then got their influence from skateboarders and then mogul skiers got their park influence from snowboarders. Therefore, without skateboarding, park skiing would either be nonexistent and incredibly fucking lame. Also take note that almost everyone of our grabs originally come from skating.

Snowboarding came from skateboarding; snowboarders made terrain parks because of skateparks; skiers use terrain parks.

Yeah dude I'm a rebel skateboarder I bet you're fucking scared. Im giving my opinion about skateboarding because this little pussy thinks that its for "noobs" and it's "played". and yeah I'm gonna beam right now about what I can do on a skateboard.
 
there are a lot of kids at my school who dress and try to pretend they skate but they can barley stand on one with out it slipping out from under them. there are a lot of posers.

I'm stupid? I just got accepted to a bunch of great schools. Post some vids then, you're all talk. I never said I hated skating just that it's played out. Skiing was around before skating, freestyle was happening in skiing before skating. IT was only a matter of time before people took to the streets and rails ended up at ski areas.

My inline edits are gay? I have 20k views on my latest one, 135 upvotes, and a bunch of positive comments but sure man, you're so cool with your little skateboarding hooligan friends.

Vert is PROBABLY? So you've never even ridden vert, but it's PROBABLY harder? Okay bro.

You ever tried to slide a rail on a scooter? It's extremely difficult. You probably can't even grind on your skateboard anyway though.

What the fuck is up with all this bullshit about hating, what are you guys trying to prove here? Chill the fuck up and cruise on whatever you want and go as hard as you want. What does it matter. I personally like skating, but I think rollerblading or scooting would be really fun too. And no, I can't do almost any tricks at all, but I enjoy cruising around and trying stuff with my friends.

It's all about having fun, not about which is harder and who is better. Peace.

Scooters got the reputation of being lame as hell because at most skateparks they're a bunch of snakes - you don't get a reputation like that out of the blue.

Also, look at yourself. You are a spitting image of everything we hate about skiing. You're trash talking the kids trying to have a good time learning the sport because what, you're doing sweet airs? Nice man, grow up.
