Front right pocket: HTC Evo Shift with an Otterbox. That shit's been dropped in the air on the jumps at Gulch and made it out okay.

Front left pocket: Gum, always. I have a horrible oral fixation due to anxiety, and it's either gum and cigarettes or grind my teeth. And a pack of cigarettes.

Back right pocket: Wallet. In there is cash, license, business cards, a book of matches, and rolling papers. It's also my prized possession, mostly because it's worth more money than I'm ever carrying around at one time. Used to also house a very valuable stiletto switchblade knife. You'd assume I don't need it because I live in Connecticut, but I've been stabbed before at school and I spend a decent amount of time in less-than-safe areas, so I'd rather not risk it. However, NYPD took it a while ago after an altercation arose in a hotel room, so now I carry a one dollar flip knife from Wal-Mart.

Back left pocket: Any papers I collect during the course of the day.

Change pocket: Lighter and roughly a dollar in change, just in case.

Inside pocket of my peacoat: Pens, chapstick, other various odds and ends.
 
I also have a fixed blade SOG they make a hell of a knife for the price. I want an Emerson or a Microtech but I don't carry the SOG unless I'm in the woods hiking where it actually serves a purpose
 
a knife? are you an idiot? there is almost never a day that goes by where I don't use my knife.

is it sketchy that if I want to hack off a piece of meat stick i can cut it easily? or open a package? or cut that damn pesky string off my hoodie? or trim a cord? or scrape some res out of a bowl? or split a blunt?

it's not like everyone who carries a knife is stabbing people every day, although it is nice knowing I could if I wanted too.

NINJA_STEEZ. ... Hope I got that right, you seem paranoid as fuck. Do you really believe you need all those items in an everyday setting? This thread makes me believe more and more that kids these days feel like they're in a fantasy world.

Left pocket- phone, nothing else. dont want that shit scratched

Jacket pockets (back pocket in summer)- wallet

Jacket pockets- a bunch of quarters, chap stick, tissues, whatever else i need

You kids are fucking ridiculous. I usually carry around just my wallet and my phone. Do you motherfuckers really need to carry around an expensive ass camera and a knife at all times? Maybe I'm clueless because I'm in a safe west coast city but this all seems like overkill
 
Wallet, Phone, Sunglasses (either hooked on shirt or in back pack), Sketch book, one blue pen and one mechanical .5mm pencil, my Leatherman Charge, and a guitar pick.

and to the poster above asking why knives are so common (cant say for every one, but for me atleast) Mine does almost anything I need:

Becomes needle nose pliers with wire stripper and can be used to tighten/loosten hex nuts.

has flat head, phillips head, and glasses screwdriver

nail file/miniature scissors

knife (one serrated one flat)

saw (able to cut up to 4" diameter objects)

beer opener

flat edge for marking.

I mostly use it for construction work/art stuff in school. Perhaps that lends some light to your query?
 
wallet and celly. wherever i am i feel safe as long as i have id, money, and the ability to contact friends or family.
 
I dont know about anyone else, but a knife can be really handy in a lot of situations. Besides, you never know when an adventure will happen, better to be prepared.

Because knives are incredibly useful for things other than stabbing people, such as cutting stuff. Why most people carry a fixed blade or folder instead of a multitool is beyond me though.
 
this is what everyone says, but really its just because knives are cool. i carry one with me everywhere but i basically never use it. how often do you have to cut something in your day to day life?
 
Sorry for dub post but im on mobile. What i generally carry is my wallet, torch lighter, swiss army knife,lip chap and a pack of raw papers. If i have my backpack (most of the time) i also have my grinder, some pens/pencils, a notebook and my rain jacket just in case.
 
I use my multitool at least once a day. This morning i got up and cut an old pass off my jacket, i used the scissors to cut some paper in class and i cut open a package.
 
im just being combative on purpose here, but...

you could have probably ripped the pass of with your bare hand, most classrooms have a pair of scissors somewhere, and you can open packages barehanded faster than you can with a knife.
 
SOG knife, leatherman, multiple sharpies/pens, cubetap, earbuds, laptop and charger, belt tool pocket (holds LED flashlight, c wrench, pen), grip clip on caribeaner to clip work gloves to hang from my belt, cell phone charger, over the ear headphones, mini to quarter inch adapter, hoodie, beanie.

i think thats it. maybe i'll take a picture of it later.
