Ever wanted to live in Nick Goepper’s backyard?

$1200 is pretty standard for a decent 1 bedroom in SLC now. Granted that’s pretty steep for a tiny house, but I’m sure someone will bite at that price

I don't know if you live in a ski town, or what, but $1200 to live by yourself w/o roommates with in 10 minutes of the hill (this place its close to PC right?) is pretty standard.

A stand alone with the option for pets and a yard would be an easy $1600 in summit county, co

I pay just that much for a 2bd with a roommate whose cool plus kitchen, garage, and a yard 15 mins from PC so yeah nah. Still a bad deal imo

It's qild compared to a lot of ski towns that 1200 iz crazy unreasonable. You're paying 800 min, almost guaranteed 1k with roommates many ski towns.

SLC seems to have gone up a bunch but it's still crazy cheap compared to ski towns.

Weigh your options. Live in someones backyard or have some space to yourself is the point I'm making lol.

But yeah, Even resort employee housing services are charging at least 900-1100 for employee housing. That is a fucking scam in it's own right imo. Thats most of your paycheck gone to rent.

He did a nice job with that renovation

Looks like an upcycled shipping container ADU. Theres a few companies that prefab these in a warehouse and all you need is electric and water/sewer hook ups and they plop em on there. Its a super sick concept. A lot of times they can also link multiple together and in a single day you get a pretty sick setup.

now i’m getting off topic but theres a back country hit in Breck where they made a bunch of sections in a warehouse and drove them pretty close to the site and then dropped them via helicopter in the backcountry. Its pretty impressive to see a random sizable structure with no roads for miles around it.

i think they're awesome units from what i've seen. but charging the same rent for one of these in someone's yard that you would charge for a normal apt unit is really silly

tbf it looks like its very nicely made from the pictures but ya still steep

could be that he won't be able to rent it at that price and someone will get it for far less. everyone's perspective of what is a good deal is different but maybe if someone can get it for $900 or $800 they'll feel it is totally worth it. either way, more 'relatively' affordable housing in ski towns is a good thing

you can live in the walls for free

I have been living in Mr. Goepper's walls for several months now and have yet been asked to pay up

This is not super close to pc, it's in Millcreek which is really SLC and is closer to the cottonwood resorts, not worth at all
