ever tried snowblading?

page i think, and my ski team had to use them for balance training....thank god i quit the race team..i knew they were gay before i used them, but i proved that by doing a 720 off a little bump

Yeah, I skiboarded a season and a half about 3-4 years ago (Groove Skywalkers, so pimp). It really taught me a lot, both in and out of the park. Then my binding broke one day so I rented 1080s and fell in love with skiing again.

For sure they can be a good learning tool. A friend of mine skiboarded two seasons for only two weeks each year, then rented a pair of 1080s and he was carving and keeping up with me within one run. Compare that to normal ski instruction which would take years to get that good.

 
you can't say bad about it if you never tried it, it is really fun while your doing it but once you go back to skiing you really realise how much more fun skiing is. i finally switched back to skiing this season but i odnt regret skiboards or n e thing like that cuz it was fun n all.

the first time i tried it (last year) i could 5 very easily. at that time, i has just gotten my twins and i couldnt even 3. skiboarding is easy to spin, but hard to land.

also, brad holmes has an interesting 'article' in Freeze. in one of the editions, it gives you like 15 uses for snowblades. its pretty funny.

i had those BIG FOOT skis when i was like 8 or 9. they went well with my all yellow mogul suit and my bright red helmet. it was ill.

yeah ive got some skiboards, i skiboard off and on b/c i need a little diversity here in wisconsin. the thing is with skiboards everything (even the hard shit) just looks stupid. i had my dad take a few shots of me pulling some 7's with mutes and shit which big 40 foot tables (big here in wisconsin) and when i looked at the pics i just looked like a fucking retard in them. there is no style to skiboards what so ever. you can never go as big as skiers or as fast, cant ski in pow for shit. so exactly what is the point it them if nothing is good about them. accually there is one good thing about them and that is teaching little kids to spin. my little cousin was having trouble pulling clean 3's so i put him on my skiboards and after that his 3's were much smoother

 
I tried it when it first came out. It was fun for a little, but then it got old. Once I started skiing again I wondered why I ever used snowblades.

 
hahah this is to the happy dancing bear guy, dude, skiboards arent gay just because YOU look like a 'retard' doing it... beleive it or not, there are people in this world who are better then you at stuff, and can make it look good... so just chill out.. and ride what you think you look best on, haha
