Saw the other thread and thought that i only will have powder skis this year so im wondering how powder skis are in the park. after all some people like forster meeks and (kind of) kieran mcveigh prefer to ride pow skis in the park

Ive ridden on mine a few days as well.

Rails were fun as hell, landing switch on hard icy landings not so much.

Tried it once on Surface New Lifes but they were pretty terrible, the rocker on those skis sorta demands deep pow!

I skied the past two seasons with 2011 Line SFB's (which are wider than the newer models) as a daily driver. They are fun as all hell in the park until you're taking it to some bigger jumps. they are just a little too soft flex to really stomp the bigger airs without putting you in the back seat. But on jibs and small/ medium jumps they are a ton of fun.

Also majorly depends WHERE you are skiing. If its icy its just going to suck. If your out west where its usually nice and soft than you will have a blast.

yeah any hard landings on ice hurt, nothing to absorb the landing haha. But on rails they are a blast, super stable and you can swap around with out ever catching

Yah I just found the lack of camber and ridiculous rocker made me shoot to my face if I didnt land bolts, mostly on jumps.

I find it extremely fun to float jumps and just throw super slow spins but when it comes to jibbin I prefer something skinnier

Yeaaaaah it totally depends on the powder ski. I was on the Atomic Blog (flexy as frick with low swing weight for a pow ski) and they did alright. Lot of fun carryin over 100mm on kickers. You're not gonna be as steezy but that's ok. We can't all be Tom Wallisch.

I ski my One Life's in the park regularly, they are so much fun. Rails come with ease and a tad more stability in my opinion, but hitting jumps over about 40 feet is a little sketchy because they tend to get pretty squirrely at speed.

When I was at mhssc the coach (Maks) Rode on RMU powder skis, and he killed it, I think you should only do park on pow skis if you know you can handle it.

Armada ARVs are my park skis, and I've rode a pair of Surface rocker skis in the park multiple times. I think I just ride better and am more comfortable on wider skis.

I Do Just bougth icelantic Gypsy for this years !! my narrower ski avec icelantic Nomad rkr! and i usally ski only park except for a week in whist and i ski trees too!

It doesn't exist anymore. I bumped the thread a few weeks ago inquiring as to why it was taken down but no response.

ski park sometimes with my chopsticks, they are fully symmetrical so its just like riding super fat park skis and the rocker feels sick when doing switch ups and what not. super soft and fun for buttering around on

friend of mine 2 years ago in St. Moritz on hellbents

hit the breck park on my 2010 SFB's couldnt really do rails on them but the boxes and jumps were fun.

In MN

Typical park skier and gapers with the same question:

"Hey are those powder skis?"

My response in my head:

what the fuck do you think dude? they're whatever the fuck i want them to be

I love my pettitors in the park, and my buddy slays on his hellbents. Collin Collins slays on pettitors too at sun valley

Surface new life's are a blast in the park. Fun to butter and spin but no so stable when you're hauling ass on icy snow.

Yes! Soo epickkk.. I've always tried to do my end of day, casual park laps with the hands-in-pockets swag. Infinitely harder than Pep makes it look.

My question is what do you think rails would do to a set of guardian's or other AT binding? All of that sideways force with a removable heel..

Personally, I don't like it. Landings feel good, but I just don't like the extra weight. Like fuck I would put my pow skis on rails though

All I'm gonna say is truck drivers are hella easy with One Lifes in the park. The rocker basically places the tip in your hand.
