Soooo I need a new park ski, pure park, small jumps not pipe, Im skiing on an ant hill this season.

Last season I had 178 invaders, loved them to pieces, but the delamed.

I have the option to get invaders again, or give T-halls a shot. I'd really like to know how the quality of armada is, I've never ridden their shit before but I always hear how the topsheet chips like a mofo. Also how does the performance as far as butterability and playfulness compare?

mad karma to thought out responces

thanks

my ar5s topsheets are chipped to hell but other then that the ski is real solid. ive been riding them with a chuck of the base missing for about a season with no problem...i should probably get that fixed...hmm

I ride ar6s from 06-07, and i love them to death.
they have a little chipping on the topsheets, but nothing that'll affect anything.
as far as flex, i'm a lighter guy (5'10, 135lbs) so for me, they are fairly stiff, but my brother who's a little heavier (6'1 165lbs) he says they are nice and soft, but that's compared to his pipe cleaners that are super stiff but poppy.
i would definitely recommend you go for armada, and ar6s specifically because the brand has been around for a while and they know their shit well. for my next pair of park skis i will look at armada first, then other brands

I've ridden many Armadas, and for me it's just the best skis, period.

When I try another persons Armada-skis, they feel pretty much like all other Armada skis. You just get a special feeling on them. The Armada-feeling :)

I've tried other skis, like Line, 4frnt, Völkl etc.

meh..

4frnt is OK, nothing more.

But Armada's is awesome. I wouldn't ski another ski.

Armada are sooo sweet! I have some 06 ar6's and there is a bit of chipped top sheet but that doesn't really make any differences its the build which is important, and the build is awesome, really solid. As far as the T-Hall goes i think they have made it stiffer this year but look at the vids on the armada website just to check, you could always try and get some of last seasons which were softer and would def be worth it!

I have ARV's, and like everyone the topsheet is chipped. But that's only cosmetic, if you actually care about something as trivial as that your priorities are out of whack.

I love my ARVs, verrrry soft, but I haven't had any complaints about them.

i only read like one or two posts but im pretty sure everyone said theyre the most awesome skis ever but they chip like a bitch. it doesnt affect the ski at all though youll get over it within a week. i got the t halls and theyre so fucking sick

they are soo sickthe are super poppy and buttery but stiff at the same timealthough they do chip easily, they are super chipped after one day

im 5'5" 125lbs and got 08/09 176cm ar6's(yes i know big but i love them)

and if you were to get the ar6 definitely get this years the new core is way lighter

the topsheet is chipping but im not a person to really care about that

as for the t-hall i know a lot of ppl that have had them and they love them

yeah ive got the 09 ar6s too and after 5 days theyre already chipping...oh wellyoud think armada would fix this but w/e it really doesnt affect anything

I rode a pair of 06/07 ARV's, they were the tits until I whipped the shit of the skis, now they are just a pair of floppy donkey dicks, and one is perma recurved. I met another guy with the same issue. That being said, I think armada has changed and improved alot since 06/07. As soon I destroy my seths I am going back to Armada ... JJ bitches!

armadas are fresh but the t halls were pretty much made for tanner so as long as you are aggressive in the park they should be good

i had ARVs 2 years ago untill they got stolen but thats another thing ahha. but they were very light and extremely poppy. i can confirm what you heard about the topsheets though, they chip up on the sides but oh well, that doesn't affect the skis at all.

but they are nearly as soft as invaders... i ski invaders now and i love them too because of how they butter... i guess if you don't hit big jumps you can go with the invaders again. or take the thalls because i think they are a little bit lighter, but really just a little bit

You could say the Armadas chip easy or they have kickass strong edges...hmmm?
I would be willing to guess 90% of the chipping people complain about is from kicking their skis together on the chairlift.

na the top sheet is really thin

once you get the first chip and look at it its like paper thin

but the ski generally holds up great
