I'm going to europe in a few weeks for spring break and was wondering if any of you have skiied the alps! If so, is it much different than US skiing like Aspen or Snowbird? Specifically like the terrain, I'm visiting Chamonix and Zermatt and heard that there are some pretty crazy things there. (I've seen the Chamonix segment from Refresh and it looks nuts!) Also because its on a glacier is the snow different any different? And I've heard that Europeans are jerks in the lines for the chair is this true?

sounds like a waist of money to go europe i dont think theyre having a great year but if u can afford it then fuck it

Only to obnoxious American tourists. Talk extra loudly if you want the full experience.

If you want the full experience dont wait in lift lines at all. Nobody who skis chamonix actually rides the lifts

Lift lines = free for all.

Slopes = steep and fast.

Also French Snow Boarders are the reason I do not ride with music on, and the main reason I ride piste on Race skis, its a lot harder for them to plow into you when you can out run them.
