What's goin' on everybody? Getting ready to take the family (I have two young kids) out to Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park at the end of July/beginning of August, and was wondering if anybody has some recommendations. Hikes, restaurants, bars or basically anything fun.

I search barred and nothing came up and regionals does not get much traffic, so I turn to you NSG, for help planning my vacation.

Thanks.

estes park is definitely a cool place man, it's gorgeous. i'd recommend doing the driving tour through the park, that's pretty awesome and you can really kill a lot of time seeing some dope mountain scenery that way.
there's also a bunch of little shops and stuff along the main street in estes, places to eat and goofy shops that sell belt buckles and western wear and other things. restaurant wise....idk i haven't eaten at many places besides the pizza place on main. that was decent and cheaper of course. they have a good visitors center that is full of good info you can check out and use for ideas

^ yeah Bear Lake is also good. it's not a steep or difficult hike, more of a flat hike around a lake. pretty simple but still pretty enjoyable

Appreciate everyone's suggestions. Luckily I will be able to have a few days without the kids and will be able to do some more intense hikes with my brothers who are coming out (it's kind of a small family reunion type trip), so if you have anything like that let me know. Appreciate the help.

The end of july I'll be there at a horse show at the fair grounds, but that will be boring for non horsey people haha. Second the Emerald Lake suggestion.
