Essay ideas, need some help...

Ive been working on an essay for Global 10H and it doesnt look good at all. I just cant find the right facts to analyze. So if anyone on NS could just give me some tips/suggestions/ideas to work with, it would be much appreciated.

Heres the essay question:

Why did China develop differently than Great Britain during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries?

thats a gay question. 1- how can you prove they developed differently. they have developed in similar ways as well. 2- they are completely different cultures
