ESPN Stomping Grounds: Summit County

hey now, i'm by no means bitching. i'm just saying htere's better mountains for steeps than the front range resorts.

I agree with this and what you said about other CO areas (San Juans, Aspen area etc) but im just sick of summit being labeled as a park-only place. Sure THE RESORTS arent as steep as other areas in the west, but cmon, the county is surrounded by the Continental Divide, there are plenty of LEGIT mountains here. Get a sled or some skins, and get some

They have the least stable, thin, poor snowpack in the country, i.e. sketchy ass backcountry. So for skins/snoowmoblies, ill go somewhere else.

this is a really good video, it'd be great for attracting tourists. i just got back to denver from skiing up at keystone today, and i'm hopin to check out woodward over at copper this summer.

the point isnt that its the best skiing there is. its that there are 4 mountains all 20-30 minutes from each other with sick night life and things to do (woodward)

just being a sarcastic prick to the non natives of summit county acting all territorial about a place they artent even from. pretty amusing to me

1. Summit county used to have good snow. Example: 07/08 Season

2. The "Pros" don't go to Dos Locos.

3. The ratio is retarded... but not for chicks... though the chicks are easy.
