this is very interesting for sure. here are my thoughts.. there isn't much for filming here, basically just the camera rolling and nothing real "exciting" as far as me wanting to hire you to do my next project if that makes sense. kinda like what someone else said above.
that being said...this is probably the coolest most interesting crash/way to come off of a rail ever! you will never find something else like this and YOU were the one to capture it making you own the rights. so this is why i would see if they are willing to pay for the video for sure!
with THAT being said. you did put it on the internet to go viral with only your name on it for everyone to see. if espn aired it, it sounds like they want to do the same, just air it with your name like it is on the web. and if they do it that way, people who are at all interested will go google that which would take you to your original video anyway for them to watch on repeat over and over again.
so basically its quite the predicament. If it was me, since its only a small clip, but yet very very very rare, i would ask for some form of monetary compensation because it is espn who attracts more viewers than the news guarantee, but if they aren't willing to pay much or anything at all, i would still say yes just to see my name on tv with my work. thats how i feel anyway
