Listen, I get what you're saying and I agree that there is some
interesting and disturbing things in this video. I just really don't
like how they are so damn sure of themselves and their wild theories.
For
example, yes, of course Israel may have more than one meaning, and
perhaps the Isis/Ra/El has a bit of truth to it. But this movie just
says that this is absolutely where the name comes from without giving
any source or considering any other possibilities. Even if that was
true, so what? The Israelites lived in Egypt and Canaan, it is a known
historical fact that their Yahweh god has portions of such foreign gods
as El, El-Shaddai, and Baal. Humans assimilate aspects of other
cultures, this is not astonishing at all.
The example that I
quoted where the movie said that media is used to make people believe
conspiracy theories are insane, I agree that may be true in a few
select cases, such as the illiuminati reptile example you gave. But the
movie showed HARRY POTTER and STAR WARS as tools that are used to "make
the average person feel insane for supporting or believing in a
conspiracy." They are blowing the conspiracy out of proportion that
that the media blows conspiracies out of proportion. (Read it a few
times, it does make sense.)
I could go on about the other
inconsistencies and logical fallacies, but the main problem I have with
these kinds of movies (Zeitgeist being another example) is that they
turn attention away from the real problems of the world. They are dead
on in saying that the powerful people are doing everything they can to
stay in power and gain as much money as possible, but it is not because
of a massively intricate intertwining global conspiracy spanning
history that involves everything from the Freemasons, Knights Templar,
and the Illuminati to the media moguls, the UN, and Abraham Lincoln.
George W. Bush didn't invade Iraq in order to celebrate a Druidic
ritual of blood sacrifice, he did it for political and economical
reasons. In order for humanity to progress, we need people to become
educated and involved, not for everyone to realize that there is a
secret movement to kill off 93% of us. They argue that "the global
warming lie" is just a tool of manipulation for this Agenda 21. While
we may not be positive whether humans are causing global warming, it
would definitely not hurt to try and reduce waste, buy local products,
and find alternative energy sources. Humans are doing a good enough job
of killing each other without this global extermination effort they
talk about. Instead of focusing on this conspiracy built on very
sketchy theories, we should focus on real problems like AIDS, poverty,
and nuclear arms, things that we can actually do something about.
