I suppose instead of just saying "meh", I should elaborate on my opinion as to not be labeled a "dumbass".
The pow skiing was very sick. You don't see that many edits of girls shredding pow, let alone dropping big(ish) cliffs and doing 180's. I enjoyed that for sure.
As for the park shots, poles are needed. Not because skiing no poles "is gay" or whatever 12 year olds on NS say, but because in order to ski no poles and make it look good/unsketch, one needs to be in complete control of their arms. Obviously, she is not. Flailing with poles is far less noticeable than flailing without poles.
However, she was doing legit tricks on some fairly large rail features, most notably that up urban at the end. That rail is much larger/scarier in person, so I give her props on that.
That being said, the rest of the park shots were not impressive to me. There were no real grabs that I saw. She had a clean 7 (with "afterbang". It pains me to use that word), which for a female is pretty banger. Again though, no pronounced grab. The one jump shot I appreciated was the one on the bottom jump in Pick where she does a 5 that looks like she won't get it around, but then does so fairly smoothly (about 0:55). But there are no switch jump tricks and no rightside anything.
As for the "vibe" of the edit, I enjoyed it. It wasn't super serious or whatever, and it portrayed you enjoying/having fun skiing, something that I think is very key in an edit.
Overall, it wasn't bad. There were positive and negatives, but in my opinion, the negatives outweighed the positives. She needs to flail less, maybe do a few more tech rail tricks, and grab on spins. Mostly just work on being smooth. A girl on urban was fantastic to see as well.
You can hate on me and call me a dumbass for expressing my opinion, but at least I did so in an articulate and organized fashion. Also this should have been posted in the video section. It was definitely not deserving of a thread. You can't post a video of this caliber in ski gabber and expect it not to be critiqued.
