Eric pollard skis like a snowboarder

if you were to take off his ski, the way his knees are while he is in the air look like he is riding a snowboard.
 
his skis are meant to ride more like a snowboard than actual skis. so what is snowbording influences his style.
 
he's an amazing snowboarder. i have lots of respect for him being really good at both.
 
Eric is the future of skiing.

Everyone knows that skiing is just snowboarding 3 years ago. Pollard is always skiing 3 years in the future.

Mark my words - 3 years from now everyone will be skiing like that.

 
Pollard is pushing the sport so much, finally bringing switch skiing to pow, and making it look good, where did that come from? snowboarding, so obviously hes gonna take some more aspects of snowboarding and incorporate them into his skiing, it just looks good
 
His edit is so sick it's pretty much the best skiing i have seen since pep in 1242. It's too bad matchstick couldn't make a better edit then eric hahahahahaha.
 
Eric Pollard has prolly the best style out there, and he skis like a snowboarder casue his skis are snowboards, ever thought of that. And plus he snowboards more than most of us ski.
 
eric pollard is amazing and he has his own style that is awesome. he takes his snowboarding stlye and puts it into his skiing and makes it look so smooth
 
ya pollard is our future. give it a few years and you'll be seeing almost everyone skiing like that. Although I do think some tricks look good with crossed skis I still love Pollards style and he is most definatly my favorite skiier.
 
I'd rather see someone ski like a snowboarder (A lot smoother, watch some snowboard vids) than try and dress like one.
 
so true, his own edit is twice as good as the one in Push... actually, I just enjoyed Pull much better, xcept for Shane Mackonkey
 
if you watch stuff like nicolas mullers part in futureproof you see snowboardings going where only pollard takes skis, doin tech stuff off natural hits... but pollard isn't at that level yet. i just hope people get past the "short skis are stupid" thing
 
jea he does snowboard alot, he says it alot. i do think skiing and snowboarding are goin to be more similar in a few years, though, rails on skis have kinda become more about insane arm, leg and body control (travis heed) as rather snowboarding is more of just getting the trick done. and yes, we have the rare ability to cross our skis. snowboards cant; though i swore travis rice has. fuker does anything...
 
Yeah snowboard-style is the future. Pollard is obviously leading that charge, but Brandon Becker is doing the same thing... check him out tooo
 
I don't think _everybody_ is going to be skiing like Pollard in a few years. Don't get me wrong, Pollard is possibly the sickest skier out there, but the laid back to the max steeze isn't for everyone. I mean if you look at Vanular in LSS...I'd rather see him doing that than doing zeros in the BC with 130 waist skis, which is amazing to see Pollard do.

And he does look like hes snowboarding when he does his cork 3 and 5s... dope as fuck.
 
pollard is a good skier dont get me wrong, but every movie is the same, zero spin in the bc, 180 in the bc, switch rodeo 5 in the bc all of which he crashes alot im just kinda over him, id rather watch like someone up there^ said. but landing in pow is hard but still hes gotta start bringing more to his movies
 
Everything is the same?!??! This year is buttering in pow like others can only do on groomed. He's doing nose presses on rails, like a snowboarder does. The list goes on. And it's not his tricks, it's the WAY he does the tricks that's amazing.
 
Those nose butters omg, that Truw Nose press 180 out omg soo sick , his fakie cork 5 of that big cliff hit amazing, his differential 540s and 900s up that step up omg ! so amazing, Pollard is God son
 
I don't think pollard's skiing is three years forwards, he's certainly progressing the sport but three years is just unreasonable.
 
Wow switch on skis and switch on a snowboard are nothing like each other other than the term. Hey just a thought.... When someone launches a big streached out backflip on a snowboard does anyone say " He boards like a skier"? Because skiers were doing that waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before snowboarding was even thought of. This is a sense less battle. Personaly I love our sport, I dont snowboard, but I also think it is sick. There is no definative skiing style and snowboarding style. Everyones is a little different. Pollards is sick no matter how you look at it. The End.
 
that is a very strange observation.

its not like if you went to www.lineskis.com and looked under the elizabeth or sfb skis, you wouldnt see that they were meant to be ridden like snowboards.

fuck the 'future' of skiing. as long as theres deep snow somewhere steep and something fat for me to ski on, its on.
