The Elizabeths

2. The Eric Pollar Pro Models

3. The Sir Francis Bacons

I think its fine. Its not like they named each ski the EP Pro 1,2,3. He just had a lot of the input on each ski.

if i worked for line, i'd be like "if any of you people know more about skiing than pollard raise your hand" ... "ok man you're doing all the skis"

They are changing the name from Line Skis to Eric Pollard. and in 2009 all the skis will be pollard pros, even the girl skis.

^yeah dude, i heard that the lizzys are actually gonna be called the erics, and the bases are gonna be the girl he painted with like a picture of his head pasted on instead of hers

Okay, so pollard doesnt FINANCIALLY own them, but Justin L. has known for a VERY LONG TIME that Line would be NOTHING without Pollard.

Think of the skis that Line makes that Pollard has had imput on. The Prophets. The EP Pros. The SFB's. The Lizzies. Even The Anthems are some skis he had some influence in (just look at the width..)

Then look at the skis that he hasnt.

The Invaders. The Chronics? and of course the womans skis and grom sticks.

Now, in all respect to Line, they fixed the problem within the last two years on the Invaders, but the first batch of those things fell apart like a piece of wet paper.

The Chronics are actually solid for the most part, but I've heard of a few problems with their performance outside of the park (at least with the basic Chronics that is. Not the blends)

I dont know. I've heard lots of serious problems with line skis over the years (especially with the older models), but none of which involved the skis that were in part Pollard's creations.

Therefore, I'd like to say that Pollard is a GOD in every way that has to do with skiing. May he live long and prosper.

obviously if you want to create a progressive line of backcountry skis you would have one of the best back country skiers design them.........

mmm i thought so too, but the lizie's and bacons almost turned into their own independant ski other than his model even though he started them

what problems have you heard about the chronic? they work great out of the park if you're not 130lbs, nice medium stiff flex, carve well and don't get squirley at high speeds. their not great for powder, but what do you expect with a 80 waist ski. and don't forget how baller the skogens used to be, oh and the motherships were some of my favorite skis ever made. though recently he's been key n introducing new concepts like eliptical sidecut and fatter skis for park with unique flex patterns.

yeah, Line is Pollard's bitch. Not only is he pretty much their only pro, but he has a huge amount of input into all their skis.

So, because there is only one "pro model" with Pollard's name on it, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with all the skis he designs, is there?
