if you take a pretty gentle file or aggressive sandpaper, you can round out the 90* angles where is didn't chip already and that will help prevent more chipping. your epoxy is likely to fall out anyhow seeing as you got the clashing anyhow?
Slathering any exposed fiberglass covered core with some resin may not be a bad idea, I had some big chips on my old Madens that I might have done that too just to make sure water is kept out of the laminate layers. But yeah, sand sand sand.
