how is the ipod semi buste?

does it work some of the time....or whats the deal with it?

Dead = not working. The hard drive dies every 2 mins, the headphone jack plays one ear, and if you put it on hold it dies.
 
i think apple replaces the batteries for cheap, if not for free, because they found the flaw after they put those iPods out...the batteries are usually totally done after about 3-4 yrs, and so if you buy it, and then get it fixed, you'll have a like new iPod
