Guys, i picked up my pair of Eric pollard pros today, they are so soft!! much softer than i had expected, they have to be sick in the pow, is it anybody else that has bought a pair?

yeha, they are so sick! where do you guys i think i shall mount the bindings, i want to play around in the pow, charge some small lines in pow (but has a pair of supermojos for serious lines), hit booters and ski switch in da pow!

seeing as how there pollard's pro model and that's exactly what he does, I would mount at the suggested point...

ahhh i can't wait for mine. so soon. i would say center mount the beasts but i dono... my gut says maybe plus 1 or two... cuz im just gonna throw up my VCT's center so i want the EP to be a bit more BC oriented. Either way i can't wait to get my hands on them.

what bingings are you guys putting on them? im debating on picking up a pair, as ill be in bc for two weeks and alta for two, but not sure what id mount them with

Recomended mounting spot from the factory is 20mm back from center... which is pretty damn close to center mounted for a 185 ski.

I'm assuming they are referring to core center and not true center... but considering the EP Pros have a symmetrical flex and only a 3mm difference between tip/tail widthes, I'm sure the sidecut is centered at/near true center, anyway.

I'am thinking of putting either a pair of look pivot 14 or the new scratch 140 binding. I bougth them from a shop here in norway, they had one pair and they sold it for 800 with look px 12, but I'am going to sell the bindings an buy some with DIN 14 or higher.. and I think i mount it 1 cm in front of recomended..

I was unaware that Look/Rossignol made brakes wide enough to accomodate a 127 waist. I wouldn't imagine that bending their wide brakes would even do the trick.

Im putting fks on mine with no brakes...save approximately 3 oz's of weight so Ill be able to do cab 14's in pow...

There are wide brakes available for the PX and Axial 2 heel pieces up to 125mm, which could easily be bent to the 127mm waist of the EP pro. They are about $50 a pair from most places I've seen.

i'd say center or very very close, cause theyre rockered and designed to be there. I have bacons, and im pretty sure the recomended line is back from where pollard mounts them, you can tell by looking at them.

maybe find out where the middle of the flat part of the rocker is, and where the waist is, thats probably where theyre meant to be ski'd

^ that's interesting because when I had my Bacons mounted, I e-mailed Line and they said that the Midsole mark is where pollard mounted them and where he designed them to be mounted...

no they wouldnt sell me the skis without the bindings, or if i had the would costed me 80 more...dont ask me why

I would be kinda skeptical of putting on pivots or anything with a small screw pattern. They are so soft you dont want to have the bindings rip out on you. Go with somethign that has a wider pattern like px's, salomons, or deadbolts. Just my 2 cents.
