If these skis are as similar in performance as they are in construction, the EP Pro is going to rip anything you can throw at it: whether it's epic pow, icy boilerplate, trees, or a simple groomed cruiser. People that have tested the Voile Carbon Surf have already shown that it can handle everything. If it can be a one-quiver ski, then the EP Pro should also serve as the ultimate all-around tool.

Voile makes skis and snowboards, as well as telemark binidngs and BC equipment. Until recently, with the advent of the Carbon Surf, they've been pretty much a niche company. The Carbon Surf will probably change that with its versatility.

BTW, they should cost around $425 when they go on sale in October. I'm not sure if they will be too soft for alpine or not though.

'Have skied the Carbon Surfs on ski area hardpack & in difficult new snow on facets double penetration bc conditions & they've worked well. Light & manuverable & though they're not a GS racing ski they do rail on hard snow. IMHO the Carbon Surf feels more versatile than the old Mtn Surf, still good bc performance & better at ski areas. BTW any ski is good in powder, the key is good crud/manky snow performance. '
