EP Pro question

i'm 6' 3" 185lbs and don't charge especially hard...and i have the opportunity to pick up some 185 ep pros (last years). will these just be tooooo floppy or will they still be fun and a good investment?

i've never skied anything over 100mm let alone a rockered ski so i want to know how it will preform in heavy pow(PNW) and if hellbents would sacrifice powder performance for all mountain stability

I'm almost that big and I love the EPs, but they are insanely floppy and most people my size say they are too floppy... if you're not sure hellbents would be a safer choice, but if you can get a good deal on EPs and you are aware that they are suuuper soft and really ideal for fucking around not charging then go for it.

At 185 you might be a little heavy for the EPs, but if you are shralpin straight pow, they'll be legit. SUPER floppy, but thats what makes them so awesome in pow. If youre worried they're too soft for your size, get the hellbents. They will pretty much be equally as good in pow, and definitely better all mountain as well for your size.

You said you don't charge especially hard. . .

The EP pros are soft. . . real soft. bombing 'fat' cliffs will result in some backslaps, as they are pretty soft, but they are still fun.

the hellbent is stiffer, but probably more able to charge. and it doesnt have the tapered tip/tail which is sikt0r. But I ride 'bents and I am pretty loyal too them.

I think you would be fine if you were convinced it was a good deal. I think you could handle them/they could handle you, especially if you arnt looking to charge too hard. They would definetaly be a fun rockered ski.

note: When I rode them they would flex so much the binders would pop me out, this might have been to the low din they were set at, but they are super flexy. powder won't be so bad though, because this only happened on groomered jumps.
