Ep pro mount gone wrong

hey so the sports den in SLC mounted my ep's and drilled the hole to deep now the bottom of the screw is bubbling out my base from flexing the ski. anyone got any ideas on what i should do? sports den said it was Lines fault for making a thin ski but i dunno.....help?

first of all its not lines fault. its their fault for fucking up your skis. if you dont plan on going there again go in there and start bitching at them until they give you a new pair of skis.

hahaha " its lines fault" thats pretty good.

That sort of thing happened to my thugs and i was fine for the season, but they did screw up and should compensate you somehow since its a pretty big shop. I know that ski-n-see drilled one extra hole in a guys ski and replaced the whole pair for him.

Bring that shit back ASAP. tell them line doesnt make skis so shallow or what ever, thats no excuse, replace these. and if they dont, guarantee you could even take legal action (i mean if you wanted, you could always threaten, i bet they would do it then for sure). theres no reason they should fuck that up, bring it back and tell them to replace them no doubt, they ruined your skis completely...

yes. Since Line has double fatty edge and base, so its thicker than the common ski.

You should flex the ski and let it snap back in the guys face

Fuck them up until you get new skis. You paid them for the service of properly mounted skis. You did not get that. They owe you properly mounted skis.

they drilled through the bases... the only thing you do to bases is wax them, then you fuck with bases, you fuck with the ski. also, who would buy skis with holes in the bases? their value just dropped drasticly...

maybe i was a little over the top, they are not ruined, you could ski on them, but for the most part they are ruined, and no ski shop should ever do that... thats why everyone always says NEVER INSTALL YOUR OWN BINDINGS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING, because you could easily end up drilling through the bases

The screw never went through the base, he merely has dimples. They are an easy fix. Hell i have even fixed a screw that has gone all the way through to look almost brand new. It really isnt a huge deal. Any competent tuner/tech can handle it.

alright, i miss read it, but they shoudl definitely fix it and refund your mounting fees.

I was recently looking at armadas warranty (just a general warranty, couldnt find one for fischer) and they said that the warrant is void if it is mounted more than once. well like this kid, the store messed up the mounting spot on my skis and had to remount them... what if fischer doesnt allow more than one mount? i would let lose on the store for sure...

EmbracedByLeaves said it right. same exact thing happened to me. check out this thread.https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/403054/
The tech completely repaired it, you can't even tell th dimples were there in the first place. And you cannot tell at all that the were there when you ski. They are 100% completely repaired. So your skis are not ruined, just bring them back to the shop and ask them to fix it. FO FREE BITCH!
