Enough with the boycott burton threads

along with the thread made in non-ski gabber about enough with the global warming threads, i think the boycott burton threads need to stop. yes its stupid that they took away the anon line, but honestly, what percent of sales of a snowboarding company goes to skiers, those of which will actually "boycott" burton and never buy their products again? very little. sending emails and complaining on a skiing forum(?) aren't going to influence their decision. dont get me wrong, again i feel that its stupid what burton has done, but complaining about it really isnt going to get anywhere. chances are, atleast 80% of the people that say they will never buy burton stuff again probably will. threads just need to stop

why stop bitching? isn't that what forums are for? that's what this thread has started as. I don't support burton or their contest, and i don't mind seeing other skiers' thoughts who share my opinion.

im pissed with the poaching thing that burton is doing. this has re-energized my hatered for burton. its not up to burton to decide where they get to snowboard, if the owners dont want snowboarders on their mountain good for them, they payed the assload of money to buy and run the place they can do what ever they want with the place.

its not the bitching part really. its the 123421431 threads made on the same topic. keeping things into one thread makes it so much easier than in more. theres just no reason to make more threads about it.

and ur still missing the other point. complaining about a snowboarding company's decision on a skiing website, "boycotting" the company wen most people will still buy their stuff anyway, especially when its considered by many the largest snowboarding company in the world, theres really no point to it. ok, so u feel good cause a few other people agree with you. people make decisions in life, and with every decision theres a good side and bad. obviously they considered the bad outweighed the good in this situation. just like the RCA resorts taking out the jumps. its what they viewed was best for them

that i agree with. theres no reason to do that. but most of the threads just refer to the fact that they aren't making goggles, when theres 3423 other companies out there that do

meh i dont no i just never liked burton in the first place, although my cousins wife was friends with the founder (cant even remember his name, i no im an idiot) during college. i just dont think its right for a big company to support somthing like this. there is no need for burton to shit on the owners of those 4 ski resorts like they do. but w.e i am bias in this subject

it's a snowboarding company's decision that affects skiing. personally, i ski mad river glen. so it directly affects me, and others that ski at any of the four mountains.

o alright i see what ur saying. yeah i agree that there are other companies out there that are probably better than burton and people would be better off buying from

people on this site shouldnt care what burton does anyway. but i see a lot of skiers wearing burton clothes, goggles and helmets which is pretty lame considering they are a company that would like to see skiing die out completely.

Yes. This is the reason I dislike them and will never buy anything that they sell. But I do agree that the "Boycotting" threads do need to stop.

haha o yeah that was a bit harsh. god damn physics test and my teachers still havent writen my college recs yet... i got to get my applications in in like a week.

poor baby is a selfish bastard who wants all the pow pow for himself, without bad snowboarders to scrape the mountain clear.

Whatever man, shitty skiers are just as bad at scraping pow off steep runs. A bad skier is worse for the run than a good snowboarder, and vice versa, it has nothing to do with what someone rides.

i think the reason so many threads got made is the first one hit 6 pages or so so ppl just stopped reading it, and decided to make a new thread of their own and start the topic all over again

thousands of skiiers wear burton, probably like the same number of snowboarders who wear it, gloves, jackets, pants, googles, your stupid if you think burton dont sell to skiiers
