It's gone way too far. 64 pages of discussion on what your 2011 outerwear is going to be is ridiculous.Nobody cares what color saga jacket you're getting, and you aren't going to take anyones advice that a medium oakley jacket with XL pants looks ridiculous, so why bother posting it. it doesn't make you cooler, and you might as well ask people to hate on skiing. We all know that 99% of park skiers dress and act and listen to the same things. We do not need discussion about how cool that fact is. (it isn't)if you have a question about somethign, fine put it in gear talk, but I'm sick of little kids talking about how "gay" other people's outerwear looks when they themselves are too afraid to wear anything not sanctioned "cool" by a small online ommunity called newschoolers. lets talk about skiing and skiers, not post weird myspaceesque angled pictures of ourselves looking like this:
https://newschoolers.com/web/forums/readthread/thread_id/468229/page/61/

it's the "I heart Head" picture... you'll know which one.

Hating on trend whores is sssoooo trendy right now.

Honestly, who gives a shit? You seem to actually care a lot about what people wear and how they act based on your post. Let kids be stoked on their outerwear. If it's all in one thread what's the big problem? 1 thread a year really doesn't hurt you, don't look through it if you don't want to.

When Saga first came out everyone was like "Sick, let's support this legit company that's dedicated to the ski industry" Now people are like "Dude, you wear Saga, that's so played, why don't you go skiing on your Afterbangs with your fulltilts you trendwhore."

Stop being such a downer. What's wrong with people liking the way Saga looks and fits, what's wrong with them using fulltilts or the Afterbangs?

Please remove the stick that's lodged in you ass and stop hating on everything.

There are so many things wrong with this post. I hate it when people hate on other peoples outerwear. That's very different than your post.

If you can use the term homo, then I should be able to make sexist jokes, but I will refrain. Please think a little more before you post.

^ I agree and also feel that jokes regarding one's sexual orientation are almost always rooted in some level of hate or ill feeling, whereas most sexist jokes are simply jokes.Ignorant people should do the decent thing and stay out of polite conversation. That doesn't mean you always have to be nice, but there are far nastier words for a woman than there are for a man... so lets not start this battle.

OP is kind of right. Gear Talk fucking sucks now. Thatbspecific thread doesn't bug me, but the Jiberish threads, hoodie threads, and what looks better threads make Gear Talk the pot of shit it's becoming. I could see asking a technical question like "Saga vs. First Drop for wet, cold weather," not "Should I get the XL Saga or the XL First Drop, and which color?" Kids need to learn that there are fucking sizing charts for a reason and they should be buying what they like. I would like seeing more reviews and comparisons on Gear Talk, not "I am 5'4" and weigh 100lbs., what ski do I need?" threads. 12 year olds have taken over Gear Talk and now Gear Talk, a once strong, lively forum is now sucking the cock.

i forget what Warren said in the level 1 movie something like "is style in your eyes or the eyes of your peers" do what you want even if it is "played"

Oh and let's not forget about those god damn Full Tilt threads. I am no longer going to forewarn these kids that they should buy what fits, I will make sure to be quite assertive that a Full Tilt boot will fit any foot and they are made like that so anyone can have stylish boots. They can luck out and end up with a nice fitting pair of Full Tilts or they can suffer pain all season for being a dumbass.

I have a great solution to this problem you have with these threads. Since there is nothing forcing you to click on them and read them....don't. From the length of the threads it is clear the a large portion of the NS community likes the idea, so if you dont, leave them be. Not every thread on this forum needs to cater to your likes and interests. I personally enjoyed a few of the pics showing what people wear.

For anyone else who is this distraught about the outerwear threads (which is a number i dont see being very large at all), there are plenty of other threads across this forum to read and rely on. So dont click on the outerwear thread and go participate in the dozens of other active threads NS has to offer.

the majority of ns is 14-17 year olds. when your in hs, your chief concern is looking cool. no surprise that that mentality carries over to skiing too.

I definitively agree with you, and I can almost guarantee that what happened to Saga will probably also happen to First Drop.

also, all those products you mentionned are great, so there's a reason they're trendy. as for afterbang technique, a whole binch of kids that are insecure and sad they have no skills besides the sloppy 360 flail grab and an underated 2 out of a mini box. yeah man, you're killing it, bro. now go hide your bad technique in another tall tee layer. noone can see how bad you are under the bagginess

how is this for an eheath inpersonation?
