Thinking of relocating to Calgary and am wondering what the job market is like if anyone has insight? systems engineer with a background in materials and am looking for work somewhere in my field. Thanks for any input or advice you guys have!

Best areas to look for rentals? would be my gf and our 4 dogs... outdoor companies looking for design engineers?

Not sure what jobs are like in your industry here but I know the winter is supposed to be super slow for everything given covid.

Theres tons of new community development on the edges of the city, depending on your budget renting can be tough to find the right place. Lots of great neighborhoods surrounding downtown with easy access to everything.

Renting with one dog, let alone 4 can be tough.

I would look at one of the surrounding communities. I live in Airdrie, and it’s only a 20 minute commute to work into the city.

Do you have civil engineering experience? The larger projects around the city are always hiring field engineers.

The Mountain Collective pass is on sale right now, and it will give you 2days at LL/SSV/Revy/Pano and then 50% off at each.

I'm an electrical engineer from Calgary. Lived and worked there since 2009 but had to leave Calgary in 2019 because my employer was going under and I could not find work. Thanks Jason Kenney...

That being said the situation is likely different for a systems/materials engineer.
