Allrighty, I've got a date nailed down, looks like June 7th for when I'll be heading up there. So come and join us. Put your name below if you are coming and want food. I'm bringing a grill, burgers, dogs, buns, and condiments. Also if I can swing it, I might try to bring my xbox, a tv, and a car adapter for some halo, kung fu chaos, godzilla action.

Last time we did something like this, someone brought a rail up, but we spent most of the day at the windlip... from what I've heard though they actually have some stuff setup.

i prolly can cuz im gonna have to come down on friday night. Because of the sink hole on I-70 i gotta go to Leadville, then down to copper just to get pas Vail pass. SO, im gonna try to come down friday evening and crash at Josh's place. So i can give ya a ride holms, if i can crash at ur place

3ski6guy0- The NOMICS Car is a top secret masterpiece involving a '87 Mercury Sable, a fine spraypaint job and a huge trapezoid rail. Thats all I can tell you for now...there will most likely be some photos up on here soon...

lineski; abasin is trying to stay open till july 6th this year, but if they run out of snow earlier they'll close.

 
does anybody know if the rails are set up at least, or do i have to bring my skate rail up and then we set it up somewhere at the bottom?

my rail is 18' high and like 6' long. Kinda gay but we could prolly have fun with it.

they used to have a long flat, short flat, and a small trap at the bottom park but that's probably closed for the season. word on the street is that they're moving a couple of those to the upper park. the a-box is also up.

As of today: the top park was closed, the box looked really melted out and the jumps were in sad shape. I heard they were going to work on them this afternoon/evening and maybe put one of thier flat rails on the cornice somewhere. The bottom park has been pushed away to have enough snow to get from the flats to the top of exhibition. It's looking really sad. I really doubt that they will make the 4th unless they get some good snow from the storm that's supposed to come through this week. Also, FYI, they're on summer hours 8:30-2.

Not really. The snow is so bad at that point it's not worth skiing. It somehow helps the snow stick around longer if they close early. If you want to ski more, go hike loveland pass, it's right there.

yea, schmitty is an idiot. It was me, Jamin (NOMICS) and Mike B. Not a bad day for june. Sessioned the A Box, and the trap rails. They also had a picnic table and a couple flat rails. All in all a fun day for skiing in June.

last 2 times i've been to the basin i was hesitant and half expecting not to have fun, but had a blast both times
