End of the year film

Alright ECSummit productions is making a movie at the end of the year and i'm gonna have to edit the movie. What's an easy program that i could use to edit the movie, and i downloaded Encore for the menu on the dvd and it's really confusing is there any other easy ways to make dvds. Any help will be appreciated, this is the first real movie i've made and i'm clueless
 
I just started editing too and i use MGI Videowave 4. It's really simple and can do a lot of stuff. I havent figured out slow-mo and i dont think you can do that much with the audio on it. Like i dont know if there's an easy way to fade out the music for like 5 secs. But if you're looking for something simple that works, thats a good choice i guess.
 
adobe premier pro is really good. If you just play around with it for a while you will get the swing of it
 
they assigned someone who doesnt know how to edit??

adobe premiere pro for the editting portion..

adobe photoshop with layering for the title screen

adobe encore to mesh the two. and make a title screen and video with chapters.. etc..
 
yeah, but actually none of us know how to make an actual video. it's just a little production company with me and my friends. most of them are boarders. we just like to make weekly videos and post em on www.ecsummit.com. just so everyone can watch em. but we're looking to make a full movie to get the name out this year. I looked at encore, and i'm clueless on how to use it.
 
Vegas video 6 is the best there is right now, although it's quite hard to learn, but it has amazing effects and creates sick movies.
