Well fellow whistlerites, today put the cap on a great season this year.

I know the pond skim turned out being huge, there was a good hundy people chillin it up watching the fun, i know i was!

anyways, just a little thread to commemorate the season, share your stories, accomplishments, anything that was memorable. Claim whatever you want, this is a stoke thread

Ill start with, probably the funniest thing ive seen in awhile, was hitting up the pond skim yesterday in the fog and saw a crowd of about 7 people up top waiting to hit it. They decided it would be a good idea to all go at the same time, but ended up seperating in the 3 lins, the first 2 guys who were the fastest made it easily, 2nd line of 3 people had some issues and barely made it because of the wake that the first line caused, then came the last 2 people, who had no idea that riding right behind someone in their wake would suck their skis into the water making them faceplant into it. Needless to say, the one girl was choked beyond belief, and the other guy calmly went back into the water to retriev his lost skis. I laughed for a good 20 minutes, as i rode down to excalibur

Also, this being my first year of park, i became so stoked on the freestyle aspect of skiing, and joined the crowd.

Didnt have the best skis for 90% of the season but i made do, learning 3s,5s, and learning how to hit any rail in the park.

Once i got my hands a nice pair of t-halls the fun really began. Learned frontflip, lincoln, and did my first rodeo today, figuring why not go out with a bang.

Im pretty stoked on my accomplishments and progression, and cant wait for next season, even though this one literally just ended 2 hours ago...

Now lets here YOUR stories!

skied a bunch of pow, lost a ski, skied some more pow, broke a binding, got days in the back with my sled and then yeah, skied some more pow. Finished the season off with speed laps on the mountain.

goddamn, Pond skim/ gaper day was a wicked end to this season.

overall, I learned to swap/ spin off rails but didn't hit many jumps mostly because of the shitty conditions all season at grouse. whistler was dope as usual and there were a good number of pow days and I'm already planning tricks for next season. I'll be going through some pretty heavy withdrawal for a while here and my post count on NS is going to skyrocket, but I'll get over it.

I got 59 days in this year and ALOT of new tricks in the bag, i started with barley being able to slide a down rail and ended with k-feds, 450's out and blind and front swaps. Already stoked for next season, gunna work on my jump tricks and some pow hucks!

went from being shitty as hell to a decent skiier. even with the lack of snow, the mountains still rocked all season. stoked for next year!

amen dude i was at the pond skim, there was so many people chillin at 4, good time. there was a massive gaper flood of the park too that was fuckin hilarious!!

Well today was a hell of a day. I was pretty tired/hungover and just filmed for most of the day, but it was good times.

all around awesome season.

was there for opening/closing day, did my first pond skim, and added some more tricks to my small bag of them. hopefully learn some more while at coc.

already getting stoked for next season

had an amazing season, had fantastic pow days, got some sweet lines i was pround of, in the park i got backflips, 7s, cork 5s, and laybacks, all 6/8, spinning onto down rails and switching up on kinks, and lots of innovative stuff.
and speaking of the pond skim, i arrived there after half a day in the park, skimmed, chilled a bit, then backflipped the little kicker, and ended up losing a ski, which will have to be retreved with a wetsuit next weekend. awesome. still one of the best days ever!

started the season with 1's, 3's, 5s, and straight rail slides. ended with 3 of 4 switch ups, both switch lipslides, all 4 270s off, some combos, hand drag 3's and 5's, switch 3's both ways, and frontflips.

Started off with only pencil 3's on 10 foot jumps and not being able to slide a rail.

on jumps learned backflips, 3's, 5's, 7's, flat 3's, rodeo 5's, cork 3's, cork 5's, cork 7's, zero spins, switch 180's and cork 180. On rails I learned tail presses, nose presses, switch ups, 270's off both ways, butter 3's and 5's.

I also missed the month of march due to getting 25 stiches on my dick.

but overall was my best season ever.

I overshot the smallest jump in the jump set at hoodlums, while dirtjumping the thursday before spring break. I lost control and the handlebar turned sideways and went through my rainjacket, shirt, jeans, boxers and then proceded to cut my dick.

My first two weeks back skiing were continous pow days so that kinda made up for it.

haha dude i hit a tree in the bike park a few years back and nutted myself on the headset so bad i split my dick too.. insanely painful. unexplainable, i still gots a scar.. sucks
