its the simple fact that there are too many things in this world that can not be explained by 'science' or anything else. to accept everything as a truth, one must accept that there is something higher than us at work. I don't mean you have to believe in organized religion or go to church every sunday, but I think people who don't believe in a higher power are just plain dumb because there are too many things in life that you or I or anyone else can not explain.

never did i mention the word 'god' nor did i mention the bible. and though i do believe in god and i do believe in the bible, i don't think if you don't believe in them you are idiot. but i do think that not believing in a higher power is idiotic. there are too many things in this world that can not be explained by simple science. the only answer can be in a higher being, whether that be god, allah, buddha, or whatever.

You're embarassing yourself and making it worse by calling people who don't agree with you 'dimwitted'. Teleological 'proof' is patently idiotic, and there was an entire thread about it if you want to search for it. Meanwhile, I don't think it's necessary to prove anything. Believe in it, or don't. It's up to you. Personally, I do.

This regards Denali44. You are a moron, you need to have respect for others thoughts and believes, No one is making you believe in God and his son. I find it also ridiculous that you would blatently come out and call Prins a complete idiot for following what he thinks is best. Obvioulsy he makes good decisions since about 4 years ago he had the idea to start up Midwestskier.com, and from that has come the Midwest Freeskiing Open(the largest midwest freeskiing event), and many other events that stem from the decision Prins made many years back. Midwestskier has dominated the scene and helped all of us get the deserved recognition while boosting our sport. Without Prins we would be in the dark about events occuring around the midwest. You cannot just come out and say somthing such as you did, Paul Prins has put enough hours into the business and run it out of his own pocket never asking for anything but your support. If he wishes to follow his dream/mission, let him, if you don't believe he is guided by God, or if you don't believe in any god at all, you should still have respect for what he has done on the Midwest Newschool Skiing scene. One more thing, midwestskier.com is not closing, it will now rely on the donations and full support of the frequent visitors such as yourself. Prins, you are good in my book, as for you Denali44 what you said will not be respected by myself as well as many others. As for next time, keep your blatent disregard for others that have done more than you ever will, TO YOURSELF!!! Thank you very much!!!

It took a very long time, but Prins deserves the recognition for all his effort and hard work he has put in the last half a decade. He truely deserves it for making the boosting the midwest scene, heck even building the whole thing.

i actually dont really have a super sloid idea, but i have noticed that since i was younger, the number of ppl i know that go to church is diminishing. it seems to me like 2 things may be happening...1) they are becoming wise to all of the bullshit incorperated w/ religion (priests having sex w/ little kids, ect) and are saying, fuck that kinda shit, or 2) they are doing what seems more suitable, they are taking organized religion, and flushing it down the drain. they do their own thing at home, maybe w/. their families. they still pray, they still acknowledge (sp) god, but they do it in their own way. im kinda like that, ive talked to alot of ppl, and i have come to this idea, yes, a higher power would make sense and does, but all of the stories reguarding this power a full of holes and contradictions w/ modern life. ask a (not to use a degradeing name for em, but) bible thumper about evolution, and they say 'have faith in god' or something like that. so i guess my summarization of it is, there are lots of unanswered questions, but the answer that was presented to us is full of lots of bullshit and questions itself. and it cant hurt to acknowledge god, can it? so i say that organized religion is horse shit, but a higher power, and choosing to recognize that power, isnt.
