En Route Cascadia

I thought the music was spectacular. It fit the riding and editing perfect. (as always from Pollard and Nimbus)

The skiing was top notch as well. I have been following them since IDEA, and to see their improvements is awesome as filmers and to watch their skiing progress is great. Pollards surfy style, and Bryce Phillips kills it harder than most.

Maybe I am just high on Nimbus's stoke, but that was a damn good webisode. Anybody else enjoy it?

I loved it. It made me unbelievably stoked for my washington trip in december and after watching it we're definitely adding alpental to our list of places to go.

Yeah mad props to Nimbus. I love the format of their webisode releases. Pollard is a mastermind. Weigands pretty fucking rad too.

well pollard has a kid now^

i don't know where my thread went but i'll say the same thing. I need to follow these guys around, they're always where the snow is. best pow skiing in skiing.

Nimbus has just gotten progressively better and better since Idea... which I still hold as my favorite ski movie. Hell, it was my first ski movie.

and i agree, this was porn !

All of that was filmed on a green screen sadly, it never snows like that in Washington, just rains all fucking day.

oh my god...alpental was beautiful. easily the best En Route yet.....I got that winter feeling watching that...ohh shit, that was literally amazing.

Probably my favorite nimbus edit since Idea. Such amazingly perfect mountains, flowy riding, and super fun soundtrack. Yep I'm ready for ski season now.

i dont know what youre talking about. alpental never gets anything but rain. unless the chair was broken that could never even get close to happening

Does it seem like the video ended short to anyone else. It was like it was cutoff at the end. Besides that absolutley amazing. I love it when NS gets the Nimbus paper goin on to :D

Alpental is redic, SUCH long lift lines for just about nothing. It rains 363 days out of a year and the terrain sucks.

Balto is right that was just some awesome editing by pollard. Green screen ftw!

WOAH i was wrong ladies and gents. There must be somthing weird with the article. If you go the the acctual videos, its like 10 minutes. Hocus Pocus gypsy magic going on here. SORRY Now I'll watch the whole thing from the beginning, I don't mind :D

Alpental sucks dick, sometimes i have to stay at a condo up there and i don't even ski. waiting in line for 3 hours to get 2 runs a day on flat runs in cascade concrete blows, id rather headbutt a chainsaw

theres no disputing that wasn't alpental.
however....
I see what you're getting at. This webisode was sadly misrepresentative of the northwest was last year. We were hit hard for like a week... but the rest of the winter was errrr.... wet and warm.

such a misrepresentation of washington. jesus last year was bad, rained from november-march, then ski partole out and started blowing snow just for the fucking nimbus crew. then it was sunny for 3 days, and then it rained through the end of april.

the webisode also didn't properly show how wet and awful that snow really was, theres a reason why its even wetter and heavier than sierra cement

the fact that bryce philips runs a multi-million-dollar ski retailer, a real estate holdings company and STILL goes out and shreds as a pro skier ... not too shabby.

all of these people saying that it never snows in washington or w.e. are morons. were you not aware of la nina, that is where it was hit the hardest, the pacific northwest. go watch attack of la nina and maybe you will understand.

It really imo is what skiings all about, chill music, and sick lines. Really thats all you can ask for all and all left me feeling happy as fuuuuh

Lol Attack of la nina was all filmed in BC, so ya it dumped up there all winter. But we were just a little to far south and got the ass end of all the storms. Meaning it rained, rained some more, got sunny, then rained again. Typical washington.
