Hey just wondering if anyone on here is an EMT, or knows anything about getting your certification. I'm wanting to get my EMT-Basic this spring to help pay for college and eventually med school, but am having a hard time finding out exactly what I need to do, cause it varies per state and New Hampshire's website is seriously fucked up. any info would be great. Thanks!

Oh and I already searchbarred and didn't find anything and I can't afford full tilts

Yeah for sure, I have done a ton of first responder training etc... this site is one of the leading First Aid training sites.
Its NOLS National Outdoor Leadership School
The subdivision of the site is WMI or Wilderness Medicine Institute.

Also check with your fire department/search and rescue teams. A lot of them will train you for free if you work with/for them.

Thanks! Yea, the fire chief in my town already told me that I can work for the fire department, I just have to get my training done. Thanks for the site-it's good stuff.

I took the ski patrol course this year which qualifies me as an EMT-B. It was alot of fun and we learned some things EMT-I's didn't know who were challenging the course. Go talk to your ski patrol and ask them if you can sign up for the course.

i just did an outdoor emergency care OEC training in tahoe. the ski pattys at the local mountain put it on. it was a pretty sweet class. they say you can challenge the EMT test after you take the OEC.... just ones geard towards skiing/snowboarding injury's and emt's more gunshot and knifings. not to good info but it might help.
