alright so im doing a report that deals with how long it takes to mount a pair of traditional ski bindings. Could anyone give me approximate time that it takes to mount a pair of bindings? Also please leave your name and how many years you have worked in the industry because i need to use this in my bibliography. i know this is a stupid thing to post here but im having trouble finding a site that i can quote in my essay about how long it takes to mount them so any responses would help me out big time, thanks.

If you are talking about non system bindings where you have to jig and drill......

20 minutes on average.

I'll add that I don't use a screw shooter like a lot of guys do because it strips too many holes so it takes me a couple minutes longer.

Yeah I'd agree with Deezl. If you have to drill, it usualy takes about 15-20 minutes. unless the jig doesn't fit the skis. like the salomon s-series jig doesn't fit on volkl gotama's, so you literally have to measure and mark the holes with a measuring tape. thats ridiculous and takes like an hour- and hour and a half

That's what Hitler said.

umm, id agree with the 2 above me, probably around 20 minutes for your average pair of skis that need to be drilled. alot of skis have pre-drilled holes, or mounting plates, and those are much quicker, 5-10 minutes.

I've mounted a few pair of skis and being relatively inexperianced it usually takes me 10-15 minutes. Our experianced techs can have a set of skis drilled and in the customer's hands in about 5 minutes.

yeah 15-20 minutes on average unless you run into some problems like on most markers be cause they suck so horribly.

the topic is actually pretty interesting im comparing lines bindings to traditional bindings and i needed the the time to mount traditional bindings so i could compare it to how long it takes to mount line bindings

^keep in mind that lines bindings are no longer, they have cut production on those p.o.s.

i will be doing mounting and tuning this winter but my boss says it takes about 15 or so minutes.....he has been doing it for 25+years......this will be my first winter at the shop doing them

if you have a jig it only takes 7 or so minutes to mount the bindings and another 7 to test them which you should do, it is amazing how many new bindings fail right out of the box.

I don't know where i'm going or where i'll end up but i'm going fast.
