im not sure about those places, but i have a friend who lived at the alps lodge at alta, he said it was pretty cool, it was a mid mt lodge so you never really left it, but they had a climbing wall there and a bunch of shit, but i dont know if i could handle never really leaving

i've heard this from whistler and crystal: no stop party, non stop smell. Like being in prison, but you are free to leave and it is fun.

I gotta friend with a pole in the basement.

What?

I'm just kiddin' like Jason.

Oh.

Unless you're gonna do it.

squaw doesn't have any (well they didn't last season)

Mammoth has shit loads... 600 beds or something.

What gravity?

i lived in staff housing for whistler it wasnt to bad because i moved in a new building so we where the first people in our room but i lived in the old one for a bit and its not bad. lots of partying sometimes its shitty because its loud and shit but its cheap. most staff housing is small rooms so that sucks.

so squaw doesnt have staff housing? is there anywhere else on lake tahoe that does?

also are there places to cook food in these houses or do you pretty much have to eat out all the time?

I lived in Whistler staff too. It's great if you don't know anyone yet. Super social, but kinda noisey at times. It used to be crazy for parties, fire alarms, and drug distribution, but they have an RLA program in place now, so there are people monitoring what goes on there.

employee housing is alright. a little small, but all in all it is just like a college dorm! Social, friendly, gotta have a sense of humor, and can be a lot of fun if you are easy going and chill. Also, once the season starts, you are barely ever home. Maybe from 4-5 to change your socks, then you go jibbing, then come home at 12 and sleep till 7, then go to work all day. When your not working, your skiing or partying. That is how it is out here in Vail!

if your lookin for employee housing in mammoth, go to Mammothmountain.com and go to jobs-housing. you can check out the locations and rates for all the places and some very beautiful pictures that i took. your best bet here is either any of the misc condos that are around town that the mountain owns, or the apartments on manzanita, joaquin and lupin. they are brand new as of last year, and some were built this summer. otherwise, the other places such as ponderosa and everything else is prettttty scary
