Empire beanies

reallllllly bad craftsmenship too

check the crochet cult if you want wayy doper custom hats for like 15 bucks

Who would ever pay $39 for a fucking crochet hat that they could have their mom make for them or buy here on NS? I can't believe Dumont thinks he's gonna sell his product for that much and have a ton of people buying it.

The beanie is the first piece of empire merch. that I would actually consider buying if it wasn't so expensive ... but 42$ for the ugliest T-shirt I've ever seen is lame. Besides this doesn't even look like a ski companies stuff it looks like fucking G- unit shit

yea really

you guys are such assholes

its the first year

god

armada wasnt the most solid company there first year eaither

just chill

prices will go down

goods will go up

i hate you.

Colby is fucking tight so dont bag on his shit

and like someone just said, first year. Prices will go down quality will go up.

i fully agree with kwebb

who in their fucking right mind would buy at $40 crocheted hat? not to mention they look skitty quality and the t shirts make me wanna yak. i hope he reads this and gets this head out of his ass. simons segment in x, the opener, was amazing, sick style, a younger version of Mik D. however, his "competitive" edge has made him have one of the most generic styles ever. and colby west, damn he was soooo good in real time and his segment in msp this year was garbage, just shit, a shitty way to do both the comp ciruit and make a segment where the whole season is focused on comps and maybe two weeks to his segment with end of year park shoots aka filler material when he should proving he is already an amazing skier in the bc and on the streets.

peter olenick is as bad as simon, only taller. jossi wells is dope, hes still young, but i hope he breaks from the comp circuit and does something really cool with his skiing because it definitely isnt the xgames.

to empire, realize that core audience your looking for isnt feeling, maybe you should sell empire in target or something like that

if dumont wasnt a sell out he would

-not start a company made for making money and claiming it to be "core"

-he would not get sponsored by target

-he would ski more then just pipe

-he would do less comps

-he would be able to make better segments ( like in x=10 it was ballin)

not only is he selling out, but he is doing a bad job at it. if he was a good sell out he would have been able to win xgames pipe cause that is like the only thing he does now a days yet cant win it.

the only way i will gain respect for dumont is if he drastically changes half pipe skiing (exp. switch riding, spining both ways) and/or if he makes segments like he used to make

A company cant fucking run without a source of income or capital. When you sell t-shirts, hats, and not even gloves yet, you need a damn base to build up from. When demand goes up for shit, prices lower, ever learn about that shit? No probably not because most of you are 12 years old and dont understand simple supply and demand. Small companies cant just start production and make lower priced gear with higher quality. You need to start low, hopefully build your way up into the industry, and then settle in and make price point stuff. Look at surface or moment skis compared to line, line has pricepoint skis (invaders) while surface has 3 decently expensive skis. Surface wouldnt thrive without pricing their skis the way they do. Empire will eventually settle down, but, as all companies do, they need to start somewhere. Enough with the fucking hate. Don't compare Empire to smaller companies like EC headwear, because they don't have the same publication and media support. Empire needs to create an image or else no one would buy their stuff, evidently leading to their downfall. Let them do their fucking thing, and I guarantee you will see an increase in quality.

omg this one is smart, after reading this thread for the second time i started to think all of NS were dumbasses

Naw, I though i would never tell my age on ns, but im actually 18. You sir, should think about what you said. Ever thought he would never take the prices down? Look at Nomis, nice stuff but their hoodies cost $120. Didn't Simon buy a beach house in Florida, maybe have a house in Colorado and may have a ton of winnings from last year? Maybe he helped his sister start a clothing shop? Doesnt he have a jacked up truck that is worth way too much? The point Im trying to get at is, he DOES have alot of money. Hell, with the money alone from Target he could make outerwear! And I will compare it to EC headwear, because as far as my understanding is, it was made by some guy out east in his basement, does not take a lot of effort to make a couple t shirts and hats ya think? Joystick is another example, Anthony has never really had a comparable amount of support to Simon, in fact he got dropped by oakley. However, he still is putting out product, and if the things he says are true, his gloves are to be comparable in price to any other company.

Think about it.

what does skiing ability have to do with the amount of money you make? Jon Olson has lamborghini and an apartment in MANACO for god's sake, and he is one of the dopest skiers of our time. Don't hate on simon because he was picked up by Target, you should be stoked that one of the top athletes in our sport is garnering that kind of attention. Also, he is not instantaneoulsy going to create a full line of gloves, hats and shirts, the current ones suck ass yes, but give him some time to work out the kinks and if that stuff is ugly, then dont buy it.

I'm not trying to spread hate, I just want to say that those that are upset that Empire is being worn by those that are in the X-games and the ski magazines, need to think about the fact that it truly is a good idea. If you are just starting out with a product and you want people to see it, you need to put it where your customers will see it, i.e. X-games and skiing magazines. Simon wants his product to be known, and the more and more its on TV and in magazines the more people will know about it and the more product he will sell. Because after all, you can't sell a product that no one knows about. Thats my two cents. Peace and love to all.

Well then if you're entire argument is based on an opinion, then you need to stop. I completely agree with statements regarding the athletes and abilities, but you need to realize, they're a new company, meaning they don't have experience nor do they have really any stability. They're products aren't the best yet. They're growing, once Empire comes out with its glove line, we'll probably see a decrease in price for their other products. As for now, I'm assuming most of the money it cost to create the business came out of Dumonts own pocket. Just because you don't like shit right now doesn't mean they're eternally fucked and we should never buy their product. How often do you see a small company come out completely and 100% flaw free? Let Empire do its fucking thing and worry about other shit. You'll all have boners once the gloves come out, so enough of it already.

you contradicted yourself.

Simon has nothing to prove.

he can ski anything.

so get off his ass hater.

Kwebb ur a faggot as in you love cock empire was created less than a year ago they just recently started selling products and if you think that shirt looks like shit you obviously live in some hick ass place in the montana hills. why the fuck are you bitching about how bad the empire shit looks. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If all you do with your time is try to look cool and piss people off on a freeskiing forum you should get a life
