I love cutting my wrists soo much I just luff it...I love wearing girl pants and eyeliner because im a faygit...and my life is so rough because the only responsibilities I have are going to school and keeping friends while living in my parents house I just cant take all that pressure so im probably going to go cut myself again because im insecure as well

they also put a bad name on rock music

have you listened to the crap they play/listen to guys who can't play their instruments and can't sing so they just scream until their vocal cords break

they are usually just flat out annoying people to most not know when to shut up if they ever do

oh and i'm not defending emo AT ALL cause I dislike those kids.. but not all emos "self mutilate" themselves. most kids are just in it for the eyeliner and pink stockings.

I am not sticking up for scene or emo kids. As a matter of fact I think they look quite rediculous. but do I talk about them and insult them on a daily basis? or even every now and then? no. I act my age. I just dont let stuff like that get to my head. I mean like what the hell is even the point to making fun of them? what do you get out of it? and how does it effect them in anyway.

I'm just pointing out how young, immature, and STUPID you sound.

uhmmmm...not really, if you are going to categorize a genre of music (no, not a lifestyle or dress code) than at least realize what it is you are talking about.

most of the bands you are talking about are pop-punk, and have evolved from the b182 era.(which alot of people fail to recognize)

look up the late 80's DC scene if you want to bash on emo.

 
A large majority of the bands that we stereotype as 'Emo' are in fact mainstream, the Emo subculture has also become somewhat mainstream. It's kind of ironic that they dress the way they do to avoid drawing attention to themselves, yet a large percentage of emo's are spoilt upper middle class brats who don't get enough attention from their parents, hence they satisfy their lust for attention by being 'an individual' in their society. Some emo's have serious problems and come from broken families, but a majority of them are being selfish, attention seeking sycophants.
