I mean, that most people on this site seem to be confused on what emo music is though. SO I put emo, scremo and pop punk bands in becuase that seems to be the most that are mixed up.

To be honest i have trouble telling emo and pop/ emotion punk apart.

All I can say is i like emo music despite how much bashing there is
 
Okay, I just like them. In my mind punk isnt really the style its more the message that why i added them cuz they sometimes sing about love and that stuff.Like real punk is for rebeling like NOFX, Propagadi, Ramones, pennywise (kinda), sex pistols
 
By the way I dont see why there is all the hate to My Chemical Romance, the only thing I hate abou tthem is the way people call them MCR (thanks MTV). Im not sure if there emo or not, I jsut dont see why all you guys hate them, it seems like the new trend.

By the way I went to their concert, so bash away!
 
people hate them becuase they arent very good and they are way overplayed

I agree, I like their first CD, I was very disapointed that they never play any of their old songs, because I really wanted to see if any of the 14 year old girls knew there older stuff. And yeah they are party responsible for the emo image today, but I dont think they ever intended little girl who were listening to Britney spears last week to like them. The image they give off I'm not huge on, but I think it's kinda unique. And I dont think they changed a whole lot to get famous, it just so happend that what they were they were doign got cool. But I'm guessing the fad will die as quick as it got big. It's kinda bad, but once a band gets huge I seem like them a little less, I'd like to see My Chemical Romance get back to the way their first album was.
 
yeah the first time i saw them was a couple years back at warped tour

right after their second album came out

they wernt even on a main stage and they played at like 10:30 in the morning

so there wasnt much crowd

but they had a really good stage presence. the last time i saw them was at warped tour in denver this year they played at 8ish and there were probably about 15,000 people in the crowd

one of the worst sets i have ever seen
