Uh yellowcard and blink 182 are not emo, you just reinforced the argument that 99 percent of people who say 'emo is gay' don't know what it is. Emo is such a broad category, I myself like more pop emo such as senses fail, thursday, the beautiful mistake etc but not the hardcore screamo or lighter stuff. I don't wear girls pants and hair that covers my eyes either, I'm generally just a pretty cheerful person.

No seriously, I dislike EMO a lot but whatever you're into now that gets you through your day is cool.

Just to put out my opinion: Emo is juat a way for people who know shit is intense to inappropriately express it. It's overdramatized and the amount of emotion in it saturates everything, leaving everything drenched in Cure-esque punk wannabe bullshit.

But that's me. I'm sure you'd hate my music, which is why the world kicks ass. So keep rocking that gerriatric curl over your left eye, you'll look back when you're thirty and wish you weren't a bitch.

But if you're satisfied now, everything is good. Just don't kill yourself.

eh some emo is alright but its not my favorite stuff. what i dislike more are 'emo kids' they are the ones who do wear mostly black shit, girls pants, long hair over one eye, etc. i cant stand the style or the attitude that goes with it. also its not being unique if theres a bunch of other emo kids all over the place doin the same thing. ive seen alot of guys wearing girls pants... ok so they dont make dude pants tight enough fine, seen some wearing chicks shirts.... um alright, girls jackets, all of the above mixed w. some chicks shoes and sunglasses.... OK thats where i draw the line between emo and transvestite. please people just stop. i can name some emo bands thurday was mentioned, how about straylight run, brand new, alexsisonfire, the get up kids, and hawthorn heights? with the expection of some of brand news songs im not a fan but my gf and some of my friends are. im not gonna bash your for your music and for those of you that have relatively normal styles and attitudes then your cool but please emo kids cut back on it a little.

screamo.... hmmm yeah not a fan there either but it is fun to listen to them scream and not understand a single word then look at the title of the song and have it be like 'love is a dandelion' lol id also like to see someone do kareoke to a screamo song that would be entertaining
