ive been listening to all of his old stuff alot lately, and ive come to the conclusion that he seriously one of the most lyrically gifted rappers ever. he can be serious, angry as fuck, calm, and he also has some of the funniest rhymes ive ever heard. personally, i think he doesnt get enough credit for exactly how good he is.

My Name Is - Eminem. for those of you who havent heard.

most of his old stuff from the marshal mathers LP is amazing but when he started going mainstreem his lyrics got worse..But ill always be a fan of oldschool EM

i live in detroit and they showed him on the local news about 2 weeks ago. he's been on suicide watch and gained like 80 pounds or something, he's huge.

his best friend was the dude from d12 that got shot and killed, so i guess he's been depressed the past year or two.

Ive never been a fan, but I cant say hes bad. Hes rediculous when it comes to lyrics, I just dont like how he sounds.

i remember when everyone started getting into him and they were all like "zomg eminem pwnz!!1" and i was like "wtf? m&ms???"

to this day i am considered very 'unhip'

eminems early stuff was great but post 8 mile was just shitty. I remember when I was in like 7th grade and my mom wouldnt let me get an eminem cd because she heard so much bad stuff about him on the news.

His old stuff had great lyrics and the beats were pretty good, but the recent stuff is deeper. Idk, i like him regardless of if he's fucking insane.

yes. his ability to create completely ingenious flows and freestyle is, today, very hard to come by. most rappers cough cough lil wayne cough cough cant do shit in terms of anything lyrical. eminem's lyricology is and always will be one of the best.. just listen to the last verse in "my daddys gone crazy" its pure genious. despite what anyone may say against him, he is in the top 10 greatest of all time...

search proof and eminem freestyle on youtube and you'll see what i mean.

i agree, lyricly he is great, but after the slim shady and mashal mathers lp's it started to go downhill, but was still great

yeah, in like grade 6 and 7 i thought people were talking about m&ms and I was like cool, but why listen?

To me Eminem is the greatest rapper of all time, Biggie was lyrically fantastic but I don't think he appealed to as many people as Em did.

I say hes def one of the best and he doesnt walk around trying to claim it either unlike lil wayne and jayz

i was actually listening to the slim shady album today and its crazy. some of the shit he says is hilarious. shit you didn't understand in middle school

jay cant rap. its all DRE. and nas is good. rakim. all kings. dre brought up all them dudes like game and eminem and 50 i think. could be wrong about 50. but ya. DRE.

i think dre found eminem and 50, then 50 got the game who pretty much rode his coat tails into the mainstream and bailed on him when he could

He's funny as shit, and the lyrics were outstanding for their time... lyrically he has nothing on a lot of the new underground though.

is he really on suicide watch i feel so bad cause he is really sick and i loved his music i thought he was just producing with dre for dre's new album detox but wow that sucks stan is such an amazing song...

He seems to have become too commercialized as of late, he deffinatley is one of the greatest though. Oh and Serge your video dosen't work anymore.

go check out some tribe called quest, das-efx, outkast (records before 2000), binary star. Big L spits all like, BLAM BLAM BLAM, lyc after lyc. Biggie`s just got some sick rhymes and his own gangster style.

tribe called quest writes some pretty sick rhyme. But das-efx has lots of funny shit that you have to think about when you hear it to understand.

Tech n9ne has some newer stuff that is kind of funny and great rhyming like em. The album "killer", We have had that on the play list for parties (drunk halo playing)and it is sick.
