Im going to try to get into school here, on Granville island. Does anyone know anything about the school? Anyone go here? And how far is it from here to grouse, whis, etc.?

gville island is cool. don't know much about the school though. i'm a 5 minute walk from it from where i live atm.

a lot of trendy kids (hipsters) they are kind of funny to watch. like i'm steve irwin or something.

its an amazing school

its in such a cool part of town and you will learn a lot. its up there for the most acclaimed art schools in canada.

From what I've heard people say it doesn't sound like the easiest art school to get in to. You'll need a solid portfolio for sure.

and an interview. for example: my sister is an amazingly talented artist, in just about every media and had a HUGE portfolio including drawings, pottery, jewelery, etc, and still didn't get in because of the interveiw

BUT

a good friend of mine had a smaller portfolio but an amazing interview and now she goes there.

what do you want to take exactly?

ive just recently moved to vancouver. but have become friends wit many students from this esteemed institute. But i have noticed a new brand of artist the Emily Carrtist. Who seems to be someone completely stuck in an 80s movie. and also thinks there gods gift to art. while not realizing there attending a glorified advertising and acrylics school. as well as there being many absolutely awesome people at that school i would say weigh out all your options. (but granville island is dope)

i dont know much about the school, but granville is super sick. the market has awesome food and its just a fun area. its kinda far away from grouse though, you have to cross two bridges
