I worry that Elon Musk buying twitter might ruin the platform's reputation for friendly, good-natured and respectful exchanges of views

I think it's great. Twitter pushes its own narrative. A little example, was they flagged all of Hunter Biden laptop posts as inaccurate information, even though it's been published by NY times, the most trusted Newspaper in America, that it was indeed factual. I think it's best for our country if a widely used platform determines truths from facts, not from one's narrative and/or beliefs. I believe in free speech, and Twitter was anything but that. The Woke culture has been out of control for years now, and as long as Musk doesn't censor free speech, it's a very good thing in my opinion.

It'll be interesting to see how Elon being a free speech guy will play out with hate speech and false information. Something tells me hes gonna get a bunch of flak for it considering how easy it is to manipulate people with false info and get a mob together.

Its hilarious to me how people try and frame cancel culture as solely a woke left thing like conservatives didnt try and cancel dr seuss for discontinuing some racist books or burn nike socks when kapernick took a knee. Woke mobs on twitter are reactionary, toxic, and ignore context completely to gain a bit of clout. Twitter as a town hall forum is a good concept but i cant see it being anything other than a shitshow that increase how polarized people are
