Elizabeths sidewall

most likely ABS. and yea, ABS sidewalls suck. they get trashed and are heavy. i have no idea why companies even use um. Ptex sidewalls are sooooo much better, but only a few companies use um
 
i've heard p-tex is much too soft and will warp and it's not a good enough base to hold the edges on, although it's a novel idea, it's not really all that good.
 
It's not a very bad idea...if you get a big chunk out of them just buy p tex and fill in...i've done that on my MSP's..
 
but a p-tex sidewall can warp and it is weak, not giving good anchorage for your edges, and if it warps it could comprimise the integrety of your ski.
