Elizabeths or Bacons???

are there real structural differences or is the bacon just the same ski except longer and different topsheet (of course) ??? also which would be better for an almost 6foot tall, 155 pound guy, that being myself? thanks

well since you're fairly light for your size you could probably use the lizzy if you just want it to play around with, but if you want a good all around powder ski you're probably better off with the bacon. i haven't skied either but I was thinking about buying one of them so I spent like three months researching them both a ton. I'm 6 feet 175 lbs and I would go with bacons for myself.

yo thanks but i got people just spitting out the name, if u could give some reasons why u think wat u think it would be good cause 2poeple saying "bacon" and two saying "lizzies" doesnt help me much. also, centermount them or not???

actually i'm going to go with what you ski more, if you like to get off of the groomrs go with the Bacon, if you're more for groomers and park go with the lizzy, neither are a bad choice, i'm personally going to try to get a pair of bacon's but i'm a little bit bigger than you are

according to freeskier, "Created by Eric Pollard as a longer beefier version of the Elizabeth, the SFB is a true BC freestyle ski built for landing switch in powder and charging off of cliffs. "the platform is huge" said one tester. who "loved how this ski isnt afriad of anything" But while the ski isnt afriad or anything those who ski inbounds should be afraid of bumps, tight trees, and anything else you can hit. You "have to be on it to turn it" and "really only good for better skiers who like pow" seemed to be the consensus of most of those who tried this wood core beast.

yeah im thinking the same thing, im 5'9 5'10ish 140 lbs, and i want them for mostly bc kickers, and pow jibby stuff. and probably park too, though im getting park skis too, but i want a soft fat ski for fun in the park.

i had 179 maidens and they were a little too heavy for jumps and park, but awsome for charging pow and cliffs and stuff.

im trying to decide between bacons, elizabeths, jp vs. juliens, and the new rory's or whatever they are called.

i want the softest pow jib/ funnest ski out of those

We all know, but these two skis are just that dope for me to pass up.

I'm going Bacon. I'm 6'. Fat skis are changing peoples lives.

well im gonna be mounting true center or like 1 back, so it dosent seem like bacons would be too big, plus they are pretty much the same ski just longer, and i dont like to do big spins or crossed grabs and stuff, so swing weight isnt a huge deal for me. i just think 172 is pretty damn short especially for true center.

mabye ill get the rory's when i hear more about them cause thats a perfect length.

^how much do u weigh tmorry? and ya i agree the elizabeths seem a little to short to centermount, seeing that my park skis will be longer than that

^i havnt heard about the rorys, what are they supposed to be like and when are they coming out

^arghh sorry of course i know about the ninthwards, i was thinking bushfield for a second and got confused

Exactly what went through my head. I'm gunna get the 176 prophet 100's so I can still navigate tight trails and stuff.
