Elizabeths as one ski quiver

hallo!

so line elizabeths, in 172 of course. i´m about 5´10´´, 145 pounds. thinking about getting them and mounting them at -1 from center to use them as a park and pow ski. would this work well? i realize that they are soft, and i do not mind this in powpow. i would probably be park whenever there wasnt good snow, so maybe a 60% to 40% park to pow ratio?

so the question. would lizzies work for what i´m trying to do here?

The only things about the Elizabeths is that they're super short and super soft.Like softer than Anthems soft. But I mean if you want a fat park ski that rips pow then get them. You;ll have a blast on them.

they are fun in the park and pow. great carvers too surprisingly, but they don't take well to speed or drops over about 15 feet. Not a bad choice at all for a one ski quiver for a lighter guy. they feel a bit weird in the air compared to 85mm typical park skis, but you get used to it pretty quick.

my friend rides invaders, and says that they wash out like crazy, but i have heard that anthems hold up all mountain pretty well. i'm talking about ice coast groomers. how will the lizzies perform?

Lizzies should be good for one ski. I have a pair for next season and I was debating selling my chronics and invaders but I will probably keep all 3. Invaders especially because they are my beater skis. But if I end up liking the Lizzies then I may stick with just them. I am thinking about mounting mine at reccomended becasue they are my all mountain skis. It's only about 2 back any way so it shouldn't hinder park performance.

you might wanna check out some bacons too... don't be afraid of the extra lenght as i am a tad bit shorter than you and i really liked how they handled all around the mountain. don't get me wrong, lizzies could be a solid choice if that's what you want but bacons are an awesome ski too.

140 days last year

160 this year

pow/all mtn/ and tons of park(mostly rails)

im 5'10' 150 and i mounted them +1 from recommended so like 1 back form true center

yes, yes, and yes

unless you ski more than 8in of pow often, or like straight lining shit, then id go for the bacons, because they will definatley have a tendency to tip dive in those conditions, they also are a tiny, very tiny bit hooky in lots o pow. otherwise they are so much fun in pow holy shit, slashes, butters, all sorts of nimbus crazyness

-but then youll lose a little agility on rails

they should be great depending on how much pow you get. the width helps on rails and i think the height is perfect.

unless that powder isnt deep and your not going to be doing alot of charging or a decent size cliff your going to want to go longer im 5'7" and lizzies were way to short for anything but park

not to thread jack but i'm similar in size to the thread creator.

I'm 6'3" and 145 lbs. I ride EP Pros for everything but I'm thinking of get lizzies for everyday. at 172cm I'm concerned they might be short.

so I can has Lizzies?

Lizzies are park skis. They are not a one ski quiver.

If you want park specific skis get lizzies.

If you want pow specific skis get EPs.

If you want a one ski quiver get Bacons.

Try watching the Lizzie product video. You might notice that Pollard says that Lizzies are actually made for park

bacon as a one ski quiver? noooo.
i dont really like the bacons idk what they were really made for..maybe EP big mtn ski iddddk but i would defff not recomend them as a one ski quiver..
id get the lizzies youll do fine unless you dont like that shortness personally i wouldnt like that but thats me..and just get them centered you wont be able to tell the diff in the pow but maybe you would in the park..plus i just like my skis centered.

I'm 5.7, 145 lbs and have the first year lizzies and think they could totally be used as a one ski quiver. When I got them Line marketed them as backcountry freestyle skis, not park skis. I have the line catalog somewhere to prove it if I could find it. Yes, since the bacons came out and EP pros they've been marketed as a park ski and probably always were pollards park ski; but for a guy my size like yourself they can work amazing in powder. Though I will say I'm considering the bacons as replacements now that they come in 172.

Anyone know if the bacons are similar in flex to the elizabeths?

You can use whatever you want for a 1 ski quiver. The lizzie is a great ski for a 1 ski quiver. It is wide for pow, has a tight turn radius for groomers, and is soft for park.

i used them as a one ski quiver for 3 years now.

My only gripe is the tip and tail height. They tend to tip dive in powder sometimes.

yeah you can just because your a skinny motherfucker! they'll be a bit short in the pow but you can solve that with some bravery and skill
